I believe this will fail but not before there is much violence and damage done to persons and property. Even so, most Americans don't really want to live under socialism/communism and the OWS mobs will find their werlcome wearing thin, soon. All the media pimping for the 'cause' (destruction of the U.S., economy - replaced with...what?) won't be able to sustain this quixotic attempt to fulfill the goals of the Marxist America-haters like old George Soros (who made 7 billion last year. Where's the protest against that 'rich guy'?)
Simply put: the OWS mobs have nothing but diffused anger and vague calls for 'the rich' (never defined) to be (a) robbed of their wealth by government and/or, (b) criminalized and jailed for being rich when others are not. That is not a sustainable cause and it will eventually fail to accomplish anything worthwhile for anyone. I'm disappointed that Chris Christie is finding reasons to sympathize with these people. I'm now very relieved that the rotund governor decided not to run for the Republican presidential nomination. That he endorsed Romney is no surprise and his comments on the OWS mobs are proof of his big-government mentality. Too bad.

I hope (some) people on this site learn to be more cautious before they go running to a candidate, for any reason.
In this case, there were plenty of us saying Christie was NOT a conservative...and he clearly is not. He’s smart, funny as hell, and a great governor for NJ, but he is far, far, from being a conservative.
Likewise, there were a number of us warning about Governor Perry. Sure Texas has done relatively well regarding jobs, and yes, Perry largely stood out of the way of the job creators. But as we learned these past two months, Perry has a BIG soft spot for illegals (even larger than Bush-43) and DESPISES people that don’t agree with him on it. Perry’s also owned by the big illegal employers (Perry Homes being the largest), his crony-capitalism is legendary, and his Trans-Texas Corridor, which was the biggest attempted land-grab in US history, finally showed Republicans that he was, maybe, half-conservative - better than Romney (i.e., Perry is good on abortion and guns), but far from being a Reagan-type conservative.
So, in the end, it pays to take the time to understand a candidate’s negatives before getting too fired up. I even suspect that this is hurting Cain now. One guy mentioned last week that he gave $2,000 to Perry and now feel like a dummy and wished he could have it back.

Here in the northeast that is taboo; keep taxing & spending! He is slowly turning things around here in NJ (shrinking the government as a necessary step in the process), and while I don’t think he’d “fly” on the national level, people who aren’t from NJ have no idea how absurd our position has been until he came along. Our civil servants became our upper middle class, with machines in place to tighten their stranglehold on the property-owners while guaranteeing their homes would be “un-sellable” due to the cost of our new nobility.
He also probably understands that whatever the media may try to portray the Occupy Wall Street rabble as, a good number of the people are the white Americans (granted, probably socially liberal) that used to work in the offices of lower Manhattan who simply have nothing else to do all day but show up at their old haunts.
