Whatever else one can say about Perry, you cant say that he isnt a staunch support of real marriage.
While I don't care for Perry, he supports the right of states to decide the issue of marriage, and that's in some ways more important, since it gets the federal government out of state issues. Remember, back in July he said:
"Our friends in New York six weeks ago passed a statute that said marriage can be between two people of the same sex. And you know what? Thats New York, and thats their business, and thats fine with me, That is their call. If you believe in the 10th Amendment, stay out of their business.
I like the idea of telling the gays to go get married in New York.
