The Central Valle TEA Party in Texas has a view on Perry that I think all should consider.

Gov. Rick Perry supports North American Union

http://www.centralvalleyteaparty.com/video/gov-rick-perry-supports-north?xg_source=activity

Here’s another article about Rick Perry and the North American Union and the Trans Texas Corridor.

http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=va&aid=14229

Quess who is trying to get you to believe that the TTC (Trans Texas Corridor) is a myth? You may have guessed it but its: http://mediamattersaction.org/reports/fearandloathing/online_version That’s right! Media Matters. Now why would they not want you to know that there is anything such as the TTC? Hmmmm!

I wonder if the TTC is just a myth what is Perry was talking about when he was describing the TTC in this video. He and the President of Mexico tell how it will come from Mexico to Canada like Vicente Fox explains in this same video.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yXdhph3pwXk

Perry even vetoed a bill that would have protected the rights of land and homeowners. By vetoing that bill he left open the possibility of confiscating the land to use for the TTC.

Rick Perry is not who we need leading this country.

Perry was horrible in these debates and has an untenable position on immigration educational policy. His vaccination decision looks silly. On and on.

Obama is salivating over having Perry to run against. That’s why is most polls, even as brutal as Obama is he still leads Perry comfortably. He is not salivating to run against Christie, Romney and some others...they are simply tougher matchups for him. Perry won’t reach as many independents if he supports things like $100K giveaways for children of illegal immigrants.

Perry better find something quick because he reminds me of someone that clearly hit his nadir until he actually opened his mouth and faced the cameras. Not a lot there between the temples.

Disagree....polls also disagree. Romney running ahead of Obama in some places, and in a statistical dead heat on Rasmussen which has always been the gold standard used here at FreeRepublic. Now, all of a sudden it’s not? Seems strange.

Perry trails Obama nearly everywhere in a hypothetical matchup.

Aggregate polls below. Romney vs Obama. Perry vs Obama

What gets me is that Perry has held his stance on in-state tuition for undocumented children since 2001.

Now they come after him?

Seems to me my Governor sticks by his guns on most issues and doesn’t waver. When the public tells him he’s absolutley wrong on a subject, he backs down.

I find that pretty damn refreshing.

And because Newt and Cain have not been attacked by a single candidate or moderator. Softball questions for the most part.

When these moderators decided to pit Romney and Santorum and Bachmann and Paul against Perry, this is what skewed a few things and turned people off. Turned people off of every single one of them. Cain and Gingrich have not been asked to pile on, and have both avoided the temptation to do so.

I think this is a huge reason for their recent upswing. They both also probably want a VP bid down the line if this doesn’t work out. Santorum and the others have stated they’re not interested. And thus they feel free to go on the attack.

No - CNN hates Perry and wants Romney and the others to hammer his balls with a crow bar. Their plan is working out pretty good. But not good enough I hope.

Its funny how a person like yourself can contort a national poll and make it into a conspiracy simply because you do not like the results of said poll.

“The taxpayers are subsidizing the in-state rates via the taxes they’ve paid to the state in order to create and maintain the schools.”

Well, the state of Texas has one and only one tax that everybody pays - a sales tax. So guess what. Illegals who live there pay the exact same percentage of taxes as everybody else pays.

A loan from whom?

From Uncle Truong or Aunt Nghiem. I don't particularly care where the student gets his/her loan.

"What gets me is that Perry has held his stance on in-state tuition for undocumented children since 2001."

From what I read, the fact that the children of illegal immigrants born in this country are awarded citizenship complicates the issue. How many of these children of illegal immigrants, who got in state tuition rates, were born here and thus are citizens according to federal law? One can still argue with the policy, but it is not as cut and dry as has been presented. Perry needs to do a better job of clearing up such confusion over this issue.

The Perry radicals suddenly consider polls important....roll eyes. You guys are so ridiculous. It is embarrassing. The group of you are like abused wives.....Perry calls you heartless for not supporting alien bennies and then you guys come back for more abuse. Also Perry has been bashing Obama on immigration like Obama bashes Bush over economy....the two of them are awfully similar. Blame others. Also I find it hilarious how Perry complains about Obama not doing anything for immigration but he has been gov for 11 years.....not a peep about immigration the other 9 years he has been in office. That is VERY telling.

“My guess is that Perry’s statisticians know how powerful is the national impact of Texas’ huge population plus the impact of millions of Hispanic respondents. And that’s the great danger of going overboard on attacking Perry. The Hispanic vote is huge, and they do seem to have solidarity with their undocumented brethren. “

Perry may be a lousy debater but he knows how to run a campaign. He’s not going to be easy to beat, though that’s also what I thought about Hillary.

So this poll is correct? But the straw poll.... no no no, that’s way off.

"Straw Polls" are simply polls of local political junkies that do politics as a hobby and get together to conduct a popularity contest. They are equivalent to taking a "Greatest Movie Ever Made" poll at a Star Trek convention.

Straw polls reward candidates with the most fired up, not necessarily the largest, bases. That is why most of the minor Straw Polls are won by Ron Paul.

Who wins a particular Straw Poll depends on the flavor of the political junkies in any particular part of the country which is why Cain won in Florida and Romney beat Cain like a rented mule, 51% to 9%, in Sunday's Michigan Straw Poll.

Winner of the Iowa Straw Poll: Michele Bachmann
Winner of the California Straw Poll: Ron Paul
Winner of the Pennsylvania Straw Poll: Rick Santorum
Winner of the Michigan Straw Poll: Mitt Romney

In short, Straw Polls tell you what the local political junkies in (insert state here) are thinking. Scientifically conducted polls such as Gallup and Rassmussen polls tell you what average voters throughout America are thinking.

Later in the week, as the results of other scientifically conducted polls polls come out, we will learned what the majority of average voters in America think after the last debate rather than only know what the political junkies at one meeting on Florida thought after the last debate.

That said, Perry got way too cocky and lazy and I read that he declined to engage in any special debate preparation. In the ridiculous "30 second sound bite" formats that pass for "debates" in America today, that is a fatal flaw.

My worry about Perry is that the problem may not only be laziness and that that problem is that he may, like Goerge W. Bush, not be able to explain his way out of a paper bag.

If Perry crashes and burns, the ultimate GOP nominee will most likely be Mitt Romney.

We will never agree, but only 900 registered voters (no affiliation mentioned) and only less than 500 Republicans in this poll. Now, if it were likely voters, I’d be more accepting of these results. It is a CNN poll...there is a reason they ask the people they do.

That's because Newt and Cain are both class acts and were able to rise above viciously attacking their fellow republican candidates and still get their message across.

Who did Cain choose to be his VP in that hypothetical question? Remember the last question, I think I remember him choosing Newt. Cain/Newt 2012

Wrong. Perry is done, this is a CNN poll for crying out loud! Of course they want Perry or Mitt and can skew the responses to get the results they want.

OH...watch in the next debate...it will be Cain receiving the vicious attacks by his fellow Republicans. He has been seen as a loser and safe...that has changed you’ll see everyone but Perry and Newt go after Cain. They’re loading up on his background...the wolves are circling Cain’s wagons.

“Bachmann and Santorum are Romney’s allies. Romney can’t attack Perry from the right but they can. They do it for him, either because they have a delusional belief that they can be serious conservative candidates or because they have some understanding with Romney.”

Naa, they are just newbs. They know they can’t appeal to rinos so they have to go after Perry in their own weak way. But Romney is trying to get to the right of Perry on immigration.
