Obamacare already is in our private files. This spring I went to my doctor & the nurse started talking to me like we were old friends. She was new & I assumed she was just friendly. She asked me if my husband was a hunter. Then started asking me what kind of guns and how many we have. I had said my husband does hunt & started to say he has lots of guns when I notice she was writing it down. I asked her what she was doing & she explained with the new national medical data base records they had to ask extra questions. I told her it was no business of the government and not to write anything down. She said they want to make sure guns were locked up.... I was so angry, but not as angry as my husband was.

I know someone, whose Medicare was fouled up for over 1 1/2 years because Medicare made data entry errors in two places of this indviduals record. Medicare would not correct the problem and it took a US Congressman twice to finally get it corrected. It will be an nightmare if everyone’s record is on line.

There is a court challenge that is using Roe vs Wade SC precedent to argue against this forced government intrusion.
EMRs have not been shown to confer any improvement in medical outcomes. But, the IPAB can deny coverage even when clinical evidence supports a medical intervention.

Where do I go to opt out? This won’t apply to certain special connected people, will it?

I am so very angry and frightened of this healthcare issue, rules, regulations etc. I don't know what to do to avoid having to do this stuff...how to opt out?

You are correct, the government has no business asking about guns in your home...no matter what you have them for. You husband has every right to be angry.

What I think is worse is all these “doctors” willingly acting as interrogating agents of the government. History teaches us that when doctors go along with the government...gruesome crimes against humanity occur. Thinking about the posted article last night about them banning OTC inhalators for asthma sufferers. The banning had nothing to do with health dangers to the patient and again...forced people in to see their doctor to get the prescription type. Why? There is not a good reason for such actions.

The numerous attempts to regulate the alternative health system from vitamins to suppliments all in the name of "safety of the consumer." McCain supported the last round and I did submit rebuttal to the open comment period as they were going after OTC suppliments I use on a daily basis.

The 0bamacare laws are crushing in their scope. But it is important to understand the law with which your nurse was prompted to ask about guns was in the ground laws prior to there even being the 0bamacare legislation. Repealing 0bamacare won't remove these annoying questions.

It won’t be the fed, per se, that has the database. It’s supposed to be some interconnected system of health care records or something.

The Fed will have it when 0bamacare goes fully online. Keep in mind you will have to prove you have insurance coverage when you file your taxes. Do you really believe it will simply be a matter of the insurance company filing a little form like a w-4?

Heaven forbid you need to go through one of the "exchanges" to get coverage...then your records will be an open book.

GE was big into the push to digitize our medical records. Just being helpfull dontchaknow. Obamacare also gives the govt the power to look into your bank accounts. For those on govt healthcare, they have to prove that they cannot afford a certain treatment. So sebilius has the power to look into your bank accounts to see if you are telling the truth or not. If you are not being truthfull, they then have the power to extract what they deem to be fair from you.

The obamacare assault also mandated the hiring of an additional 16,000 IRS agents to insure compliance. Makes one wonder just what does the IRS have to do with medicine.
Guess they want to keep doctors in line.

And given the regimes penchant for politicizing everything, there will be certain groups of people who will always get the best and first. The rest of us, non obama supporters will lose out. This isn’t really obamacare. It is obama supporter care.

Anyone with a CDL or a Pilot's License should be concerned IMHO. from what I understand, they use this data base in Canada to take away licenses if you have a health event or certain condition.

Where are my 4th amendment right to these documents? Isn't what I said between my Dr and I privileged information?

I can't get to deep into it, but I am aware of a recent violation of HIPPA (spelled correct?) laws where even though it was a screw up, the pulled the big kahuna out in chrome bracelets, yet they are throwing that paradigm out the window in sense.

You think Hillary had power with the FBI files? Can you imagine what those in power will do to fellow politician's with this data.....

Holy 'cow'. I read the 27 page link and what a bunch of legalese gobbledygook.

Most of it is definitions of the definitions used. A couple pages on the 'estimated costs' (Ha!). And the last few pages actually delineating what's to be done.

[forget the Dept of Ed, abolish the HHS!]
