Yes, but far too many fired vaguely in the direction of the enemy rather than lining up their sights on a human being and dispatching them.

Almost nobody is mentally prepared for war - especially the low down dirty chemical and trench warfare of WWI.

But I find that the minimum one should be able to expect of your troops is that they actually fire AT the enemy - not just vaguely in the direction of the enemy.

Luckily I think that isn't much of a problem for our troops anymore. We raise young people with trained hand eye coordination, a good grasp of tactics and strategic thinking, and who have an ingrained habit of lining up a human shaped target and firing on target.

I remember a story of a Soviet General during the Cold War given a tour of a US shopping mall. Upon hearing electronic beeps and such he asked about what was going on. “Just kid stuff, you wouldn't be interested” he was told. Well being a suspicious Soviet - he honed in on that an INSISTED he be shown. He saw a Video Game Arcade! His immediate conclusion was that “Americans are training their young in computer assisted warfare!” - but then he heard the sound of a quarter falling into the machine and realized it wasn't a conspiracy to raise a generation of warriors - it was a conspiracy to separate suburban kids form their quarters!!!!

He defected. :)

Boy, did I love their music, seriously. Great vocals and great accompaniments. But as soon as that lead singer moron opened her pathetic chubby mouth, everything changed for me.

YEP! At the time, I was working with a Kuwaiti-born, Palestinian friend who asked, "Doesn't she have the right to free speech?" To wit, I replied, "Yes, just like I have the right to never buy another album." And I never have; I even discarded the one that I already owned. I was SO glad that they stopped getting air-play as well! They deserve all the ridicule which they brought upon themselves!

When companies post their political preferences, they can expect public outcry against them; and there is NOTHING wrong with that! But, for some reason, these entertainment maroons simply think they are exempt from ridicule and spite! Either they believe their own press-notices, they believe the MSM-touted "public love," or they think they are above reproach! I am glad that the American people are finally showing these idiots that they are NOT untouchable!
