Arizona's Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio told WND he has assigned a five-member "Cold Case Posse" to investigate the authenticity of Barack Obama's birth certificate.
The decision, he says, is simply a matter of doing his duty.
"This investigation does not involve politics," Arpaio told WND. "I listen to all the residents of Maricopa County who come to my office with complaints, regardless what their politics are.
"My door is open to everyone, and I don't kick them out. If a complaint is legitimate, I don't dump it into the wastebasket," he continued. "When I get allegations brought to me by the citizens of Maricopa County, I look into the allegations, just like I am doing here."
Arpaio explained to WND that there are over 3,000 people who participate in his office's volunteer posse program.
The "Cold Case Posse," however, has been described as a "posse within the posse," consisting of volunteers with professional experience in conducting investigations, including individuals chosen because of their professional backgrounds in law enforcement, as well as lawyers who have participated in criminal or civil cases and individuals with specialized skills in fields ranging from accounting to conducting criminal forensic examinations.
In the past few months, the Cold Case Posse has been inactive, largely because of budgetary limitations within the Maricopa County Sheriff's office.
But in the past few days, Arpaio has assigned a 5-person group serving under the auspices of the Cold Case Posse to undertake the Obama birth certificate investigation.

he really needs to get a “posse” of sheriffs across as many states as possible. dunno if anyone in Hawaii is conservative enough to get on that team, though.

Unless you work for a state or local government, or the judiciary, or the legislature, or the civil service.
Hawaii has half the people on the dole and I am sure many of the Judges are very left wing.
IMO they will have less than zero chance to get in to investigate the bathroom much less public records.

I had a friend do another friend a favor in Kona to repair a condo.
After the previous time there where he found workers usless and unwilling, he flew out with his own help because nobody there wanted to work more than a couple of hours (beer money).
Well shoot. Why aren’t willing workers flooding paradise?
A bunch don’t work because it must be pretty good on the dole in Hawaii I guess!
A Sheriff is an elected position so you can not get fired by anyone but the voters
Sheriff Joe might be the last Real American working in some form of government (besides the military of course). I for one can’t wait to see what he’ll come up with.

If I had a family home rehab business in Chicago, reading a story like this it would be awful tempting to try to transplant it to Hawaii. I’d eat their lunches. I wonder if the bureaucracy, however, is a true nightmare.
Everything is more expensive because they are 3000 miles out in the ocean.
I was told if not for Costco and Walmart, most could not both buy their food and pay their rent.
I believe that Sheriff Joe works for NO government, but reports directly to the electorate of Maricopa County, AZ, USA.
Yup, that would be a constraint. For some, it would be worth living in smaller digs and remote from the mainland to be able to visit a nice beach most days of the year.

It is nice there and you can always watch the islands grow with the lava for fun.

With active volcanism going on there, one might wonder when it might get in the mood to spew ash over the entire chain of islands.
No. The County electorate. The voters.
It does so on parts of islands regularly.
Some might find that romantic.
It’s an elected office, but somebody pays him, some governmental structure exists to tax and cut checks... few would want to be elected sheriff if they had to do it for free.
Not anyone’s dream unless you are into nightmares.

Officers Run Background Check On Obama; Placed On Leave

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. -- Two DeKalb County police officers have been placed on paid administrative leave after an investigation revealed they ran a background check on President Barack Obama.
A representative for the DeKalb County CEO’s office identified the officers as Ryan White and C.M. Route.
Officials said Obama’s name was typed into a computer inside a DeKalb County police car on July 20 and ran through the National Crime Information Center.
The secret service was immediately notified and contacted the DeKalb County Police Department.
A representative said both officers have been with the department less than five years.
A representative said one of the officers denied involvement.
An official investigation is being conducted by the DeKalb County Police Department’s Internal Affairs division.
It is unclear why the officers ran a check on the president. "

The posse should contact these DeKalb officers to ask if they came up with anything back in 2009 and do a comparison.
Kind of strange, if the volcanoes are likely to spew lava all over built up areas. I thought the flow was pretty much predictable, and if you go into an active lava area that’s your fault.
Well here is something that scares me. What if the Posse does the investigation and then says that Obama is a real American after all??? Because so far, Dr. Taitz has been giving Obama plenty of rope to mess up with and Obama and his little Obotski Twerps have taken the bait. They could have just given stuff up a long time ago and put a end to all the questions, and as long as they don’t, then the questions continue and the smart half of Birtherdom lives on.
Sooo, like what happens if the Posse says the Hawaii stuff is OK, BEFORE the 2012 elections??? Because I think it is only fair that if Obama wanted to play this stupid game until April 2011, he shouldn’t get to walk away before November 2012 because we did what he should have done.
Obama’s justice dept went to arizona to try to stop his catching of illegals and sending them to jail or back home...don’t mess with a sheriff from the west...It is a powerful job with the county....
Well I’d sure wonder where the “real birth certificate” had been hidden all these years. The Bummer himself claimed to have had a copy on display in his younger years. Where’d it go? Did his handlers rip it up as part of the scrubbing?
I think we finally got the real one in April, and Obama just messed it up on his website to keep the Birther Issue alive. It is the only issue he has to motivate his Obots with, because everything else he has touched has turned to poop.
That BC requires only proof that it was a forgery of some type. Joe isn’t going after the NBC issue or even the “is he American” issue. He’s going after forgery.
And if it’s found to be legit (in light of numerous doc specialists saying otherwise), then so be it, Party over.
For example...If you and I are in AZ and you forge me a Wyoming BC, Joe does not have to have my original BC, nor go to Wyoming to prove you forged it.
If it is a forged document, he’s toast regardless of his birthplace, father or country of origin. A President knowingly taking part in an act of forgery has definitely committed a felony. That’s a high crime.
Well then we really didn’t get the real one, not if it’s been typed over with several different typewriters and cribbed material from several different extant birth certificates. If the real one exists and Obama had a phony cobbled up to look kind of like it... well it’s still a phony.
So even fairly established places like Honolulu might easily find themselves in the same position Pompeii was in? Interesting. That chain of islands has existed long enough for there to be sand on its beaches and for green vegetation to grow on it. Something had to not be covered with lava for a long time for that sort of weathering to be possible.
I think Obama’s people messed all that image stuff up on purpose just to screw with people, and they can always blame it on weird computer copying stuff. Sooo, I am not going to get my hopes up that it is forged.
As a matter of right and wrong, it would be better for all this stuff to be resolved, but I would like it better if Obama had to stew in his own juices for having drug this out for three years since we are getting so close to the election.
The Obotski are sooo stupid and smug, they would never just allow access to end the questions, which would be just fine for another few months. But a Sheriff can get documents and end it all, and I just hate for it to happen now.
I think they screwed up on purpose as well... but they didn’t think their clever plan all the way through.
Obama told the public it was real and made a huge public display of that. Verbal contract. If it’s not real, screwed with or otherwise, A case can easily be made that everyone just got standing to see the real one due to his deliberate deception of the electorate.
That would tie him up until the election at minimum and he’d get nothing done due to concerns that all such ‘presidential signatures from that point forth could be challenged.
Even if JA nails him, it will take court time etc so he will not likely get dethroned until then anyway. But he will be rendered impotent to further destroy the country. And the dems are in deep doo doo too.
Let us PRAY that happens.
They been trying to take down Joe for twenty years, he is still there and has the largest posse in the country. Elected Sherrifs have more horsepower than they use, but Constitutionaly they are pretty powerful.
Hey, here in CA we could get the 9.0.
