Polls are not intended to measure public opinion but to shape it. Try thinking for yourself and stop listening to what media organizations tell you.

LOL......the MSM hates and fears perry..... they love romney....i make my judgements on a mans courage.....romney has no balls ....perry is tough....he has what it takes......he's not perfect on some positions and plays a little too much texan cronyism..... but on most issues he will be strong. palin is a good choice as his vp or in his cabinet.

Both Bachmann and Cain are more conservative as is Palin should she decide to run. As for who has "a chance of winning", I think given Obama's abysmal record they all have a chance. Do you really buy into the leftist media polls that say they don't? Why do you think they tell you that? It's because they don't want them to win and because they want Perry. Why would that be?

I don't allow the leftist media to decide for me, I'll decide on my own. It's a shame more 'conservatives' don't do the same.

I’m not so shallow as to be influenced by an endorsement. Do you think McCain deserved to be reelected; Palin endorsed him too.

You’re hyperventilating again.

The law you are so upset about was passed by the Republican led Texas Legislature with only a HANDFUL of dissenting votes. It was a near unanimous decision.

But you don’t seem to care about that.

Re-read your own posts carefully, especially #43; therein lays the answers to your own questions.

Am I supposed to be impressed by that? Firstly, I don't believe anyone in the Texas legislature is seeking the Republican nomination. But if they were, I wouldn't vote to nominate any of them, either.

And I don't hyperventilate; that you would make such an asinine comment about me personally reveals you really don't think your argument carries much weight. And you're right, it carries none.

I am aware of that but thanks. But as I said, endorsements don't impress me. Those who consider such inanities are essentially saying they're not capable of making up their own mind and instead are willing to allow others to do it for them. That's just not me so again, your image means nothing.

I know Newt has some baggage, but do you think Cain could help keep Newt in line?

Newt is an incredibly smart politician. I don't think he would allow a newcomer like Cain to influence him much.

It's a shame Newt has such baggage. He would destroy Obama in every debate.

Of the eight in the race : Huntsman appears to be a democrat, Paul is still in a class of his own, Bachmann / Cain / Santorum are genuine We the People conservatives, Perry and Romney are country club compassionate "conservative" corporates, and Gingrich is unique in that he visits both the genuine and the country club conservative camps.

Who is more conservative than Perry? Gingrich, Santorum, Cain, and Bachmann -- no question about it. Who has a chance of beating Obama? If you believe the hype being spread by the GOP insiders, only Perry and Romney do. If you haven't drunk that koolaid, then you know every candidate on the floor has the potential of beating Obama -- because Obama as so thoroughly defeated himself for us. Rasmussen reported that a "generic" insert-name-here Republican would beat Obama by an 8% spread. That's a landslide for any of them.

If We the People truly want to capitalize on this once in a lifetime opportunity and effect *real* change in Washington -- proving finally that we are not the party of country club corporate cronies -- we need a conservative ticket. Give me any combination of Bachmann, Cain, Gingrich, and Santorum. Any one of them is superior to a Romney or a Perry.

Cristy Matthews telling the Tea Party what they like.

Isn't that special?

That’s why I wondering if the two could work together. They could be ideal if so. We’d get the best of both worlds if they could. Newt HAS to be able to work with somebody and in the past that was sometimes the enemy, so if he would work with Cain we could be in business.

The SMSM are on a march to convince Tea Party folks they love, or should love, Perry. The Tea Party folk I know are more informed than Krissy Tingle down his leg, realizes. So his little political gimmick ain’t gonna fly.

The Tea Party folks I know don’t do socialism, and they don’t do cronyism. Rick Perry is a crony extraordinaire. Socialism and cronyism is what we are trying to root out of politics, you idiot.

Gingrich’s utter betrayal of his dying wife and the abortion he paid his mistress to commit decided my opinion of him.
