Could you blame those incorporated townships for not wanting to partake of Detroit governance? I worry for the unincorporated area in which I live. The city nearby expands every time a new prosperous area develops on the periphery. And the city next to me is a heck of a lot better than Detroit.
No one ever wants to be annexed.I live in the county in my area. We won’t be annexed till after I’m dead and gone. It would cost too much in infrastucture to make it worthwhile :)
