We’re talking about 6th grade girls, not grown women entering into marriage. Maybe if there were more “folks like me” there wouldn’t be so much promiscuity in this country. You can control the behavior of your 11 or 12 year old daughter. You don’t let them go on dates at that age, especially one on one alone with a young boy. It’s done all the time. But one thing you don’t do is give them the signal that it is OK to have sex as long as you’re protected from pregnancy and STDs. They definitely won’t be refraining from the behavior under those circumstances.
The CDC hasn’t said much, if anything about the abortion/breast cancer connection - or if they have, it was just to dismiss it. There is plenty of documented research at the abortionbreastcancer.com site.
“I’ve never thought school vaccinations were an issue.”
Not ALL school vaccinations are an issue, only this one.
Should parents simply sit back and allow their kids to be vaccinated with every government mandate?
As for Gardisil, perhaps parents would rather teach their children abstinence.
The government is raising our children, and I’m seeing conservatives accept it.
Even Perry apologized for this, to his credit.
Even Perry apologized for his Gardisil position.
I think Perry supporters are on the wrong track with defending Gardisil, because they will hurt Perry, as they are saying he was wrong to apologize.
So if they hurt Perry AND Bachmann, which frontrunner is left right now? Romney.
Whether the HPV vaccination can cause the problems she says it can will come out soon enough.
My issue with this is the opt-out path. Was it made clear when the bills were introduced, as opposed to being put in "page 8" where you would have to search for it? If it was not made clear without having to search for it, then considering it was a "mandate" Bachmann would have a point.
If the opt-out path was made clear and put up front so parents would know immediately that they had a choice, then the whole "forced" issue goes out the window.
No it's not. Human beings supposedly get wiser as they get older, and of course, that would result in a change of position.
Clearly, you simply hate Bachmann and will pick any silly thing to rant about. Well, rant away. Just be aware it makes you look like a numbskull.
Have a nice day.
By the way, yes it was 18 years ago (before Bachmann was a state senator) that Hepatities vaccine was required by the state of MN. Don't add outright lying to your silliness.
*I* look like a numbskull? Now THAT is funny! Glass houses and all that.
