What happened to that steel cross? Do you know? I heard it was removed. It should have been left there.

The last time I flew out of IAD on a 777 was in April and May of this year...went to Kuwait on a pleasure trip with a Kuwaiti/American young girl I met here. We stayed with her family for two weeks. A wonderful experience! Her mom’s an American teacher there, and dad’s a Kuwaiti teacher.
Would be ironic if you were in the cockpit!
...The cross was moved Saturday from near a church to its new home at the 9/11 Memorial and Museum. There was also ceremonial blessing of the cross in a service led by Father Brian Jordan, a Franciscan monk who ministered to workers clearing the area after the 9/11 attacks.
