MANCHESTER, N.H. He may have been 2,000 miles from the border, but Republican presidential candidate Rick Perrys immigration record in Texas quickly became the focus in New Hampshire Saturday afternoon.
Speaking to hundreds of Granite State voters at a private reception, the Texas governor was asked whether he supported a fence along the Mexican border.
"No, I dont support a fence on the border," he said, while referring to the long border in Texas alone. "The fact is, its 1,200 miles from Brownsville to El Paso. Two things: How long you think it would take to build that? And then if you build a 30-foot wall from El Paso to Brownsville, the 35-foot ladder business gets real good."(continued)

I guess the crap for brains RINO thinks you just leave the wall undefended and without guard towers and Guns?
He did not say he was against securing the borders.
This aint East Berlin
There is no way around it... while Perry may be good in a lot of ways, he is not on the right side of preserving our borders.
Just how is Perry different from George W. Bush? I have grown to really dislike the Bush wing of the Republican party. I know they don’t like each other (Perry and Bush), but are they any different on policy? I really hate these elite republicans calling us nativists because we want our immigration laws enforced.

Build machine gun nests and walls in YOUR state.
[ How long you think it would take to build that? ]
Not long with mexican insurgent help... deport them to work camps along the border.. Good workers get green cards.. others are deported..
The Muslims are coming through the Canadian border.
The only ones who think a fence along the entire border between Texas and Mexico is the way to go are people who don’t know anything about it, but think they know it all.
If it were affordable, a reachable goal legally and logistically, economically viable, and workable to keep out illegals, I’d be for it.
Research, research, research and it becomes clear this isn’t the case.
Or, you could just be a boots on the ground person and for that reason, be familiar with the intricacies involved - devil in the details stuff - and that would be enough without the research.
We have probably 100,000 miles of 20 foot high freeway/highway sound walls in the U.S., so a wall 1200 miles long is not be a big deal. Of course it might be a problem stopping this never ending conga line of cheap labor for fat corps and biz owners who bankroll his campaign.
Lets not pretend that Rick Perry doesnt have a totally horrible position on the border and illegal immigration.
R Ps three point illegal immigration plan.
Step 1:
Dont build a fence an invisible high tech virtual fence is much better than a physical fence. Kind of like how pictures of food taste much better than actual food.
Note videos below to support claims of how RP supports Obama/Napolitano style virtua fence over a ridiculous actual fence. Pfft! Theres that actual fence nonsense again!

Step 2:
Why do we need a physical fence when were just going to allow for a guest a worker program to suppress American wages.
Wouldnt we be wasting money doing that, listen amigos in this economy we cant be wasting that kind of dinero.
Step 3:
Offer in residence tuition rates and access to taxpayer funded scholarship programs to illegals so that they can increase their earning potential allowing them to further help out Americans by taking the jobs that American just dont want
Trashing the economy seems to have been just the ticket for discouraging many would be wetbacks.
Now if someone could solve the problem without trashing the economy ...
I wish every one of these people would actually patrol the border just once.
Will a wall take as long to build as an interstate highway?
Or as long as a two-lane highway?
True words.
