And eighteen years before he became president, Ronald Reagan was a democrat. I guess if FR existed then, you folks would be calling him a RINO.

I am not a Perry supporter, though he’s looking better than any of the others running, but I’ve been hearing nothing from his opponents here but Al Gore (supported him 25 years ago) and this.

If that’s all you guys’ve got, then you’re welcome to Obama. I have big disagreements with Perry on several issues, but man, what’s your alternative? Who is this miracle perfect conservative who’s going to beat Obama?

I swear on my life that you distort more than any other person I've ever seen on this site. First you have said Perry's gay, and now you're saying Perry supports Hillarycare.

You have declared, via this letter, that Perry thanked Hillary for wanting to pass government run healthcare. Where does he say this? He never does.

If you pay attention to the things you post (when it's not the gay/lesbian websites that you like to post), you'll realize that this letter was written about TWO MONTHS after Clinton was inaugurated. Hillary was named the head of a task force for health care reform. Hillarycare was non-existent at this point. Perry was sending her a congratulatory letter on behalf of the agricultural sector in Texas for her efforts to head this task force. To say that he is thanking her for Hillarycare is an outright lie. The bill itself wasn't even posted until November 20, 2003, and the Senate took it up and killed it in August 2004.

But, don't let the facts get in the way.

Gosh but you're persistent with picture and half stories. It looked like health care was a done deal and no Governor could have stopped it. It hadn't been exposed as the boondoggle it turned out to be, which killed it due to public outrage, and any Governor would naturally stand up to ensure his constituents were not neglected.

You manage to make it seem like Perry is an advocate of what Obama care is going to be. Perhaps you missed his plain statement that if he is elected, his first act would be an Executive Order to abolish Obama Care. That's one reason why the Left is so afraid of him and why they will continue to provide you with your "talking points".

That letter is appropriate. Perry was advocating for Texans. It would have done no good to be silent and would have been worse to be confrontational.

thanking her for trying to pass Government-Run Health Care!!

Did you even read the letter you posted? Because he never thanks her for anything.

Of course, the real issue is that it also doesn't praise her health care, or call for government to take over health care, but since we've already beaten this stupid horse to death, I thought I'd stick to the clearly and demonstratably false claim you made about it.
