Indications are that Sarah Palin will sound increasingly like a presidential candidate at the Iowa tea party rally, with barbs aimed at both GOP rivals and Obama. But a formal declaration is apparently not in the offing.

“Full schedule for ‘Restoring America’ rally in Indianola: music, prayer and Sarah Palin”
I was convinced that she would make the big announcement at this event. WTH is she waiting for?
“If my policies are enacted by the next President, the unemployment rate will drop to 5%”
Thank you!
She thinks she can out parry Perry by waiting for the right moment.
But if she tries to suck the air out of the room by announcing during the Regan debate, it will backfire on her IMHO.
I hope I'm right about this. Sarah Palin seems to be a good person. Nothing I've seen would lead me to believe that she would string her supporters along this far and not run. If she were dropping out, we will hear that soon. She probably would have already announced if she wasn't running.
I think she'll get in, but it could be later in the year.
Reagan didn't get in until late October in 1980.
Palin is a target whether she announces or not. Also, her core supporters will be there when she announces. They might be helping other campaigns now, but the ones I know have already set aside the maximum they can contibute to Palin before they've started helping anyone else.
If I was Sarah, tomorrow I would announce that I am announcing in Wasilla, Alaska on whatever date and invite the public and the press.
Please ping the list!
The waiting game's over. Time to jump in and attempt to be part of the solution, or let everyone know you plan to help from the sidelines instead.
I always find it ironic that the media, who dismiss Sarah Palin as ‘unelectable’ yet follow her around and obsess over what she might say or do, next. That noted, the article seems to have a pretty good grasp of what will happen when Sarah Palin speaks, Saturday, at the Republican debate. If she doesn’t announce her candidacy, she’ll certainly give supporters a clear signal, one way or the other. I expect it will be positive (that she’ll be running for the GOP nomination). One thing for sure, she’ll have a big audience.
From the fake Tea Partys such as the one
which attacked Gov. Palin from Texas
created by RINO Romney and Hudack (and Perry?)
to the FAKE polls in Texas "informing" Gov Palin not to run
created by PerryBOTs (and Romney?)
to the rumor-fomenting Sullivans in S.C.both in bed
with RINO Romney and RINO Perry
to the anti-Gov Palin rumors from PerryBOT Ken Crow in Iowa Lying that
Gov Palin would not Run for President
(Perry and Romney?)
it is clear conservatives and America are in peril
from the backstabbing, politically crossdressing
RINOs Perry and Romney
who indeed appear to be two Rovian puppets
reeking of misogyny and dirty tricks.
If she wasn't going to announce tomorrow, she should have simply said she wasn't going to announce. She didn't have to say one way or another if she was going to run at any point, but she could have at said that tomorrow wasn't going to be the announcement.
Of course Palins supporters will call this a brilliant strategy, but it's not. This "brilliant strategy" is costing her a lot of support, causing consternation and infighting among the faithful (including us here on FR) and many people are beginning to feel like she's playing a game.
I'm not sure how making people feel like they're being jerked around works to her advantage.
As much at I too have been waiting and waiting I hope shedrags it out for weeks yet, it frives libs nuts.
A few days before the election? I find that hard to believe. Maybe you mean October 1979.
Let me remind you that the tea party movement started in Texas.
No one cares.
No one will be there. No press will be there.
She’s irrelevant.
Everyone is too busy prepping for the awesomeness of the President’s speech on the 8th.
I agree completely.
They aren't that close yet. Only the RINO's and who gives a fark about them?
