The only answer to the troubles of this life is Jesus. A decision we all must make

It all is in God's hands. My suspicion is that since God cared about Ninevah, that He intervened in Nebuchadnezzar's life, that He decreed Cyrus, that He predicted Titus tearing down Jerusalem, then that means God is involved in the doings in major (and minor) nations of the world.

In sum, God watches the United States of America. I believe that Obama is a self-imposed curse that God has allowed our own choice of leaders to endure as punishment for 55 million dead babies whose blood is on our national hands.

I believe that a national turning to Jesus will heal our land.

There are conservative candidates who have been unafraid to proclaim faith in their Lord. They are: Palin, Perry, Bachmann, Santorum. I'm not sure about Cain. Gingrich has a "God in America" series, but I'm uncertain of any statement of faith on his part.

YES!
God is in this. Just how is unsure. Job, Joseph, or Daniel, Moses, Ruth, the apostles. etc.

As with Saul, God gave the people what it is they said they wanted. A King. God had told them a King would oppress them. Well now God may be giving us what the majority of us say we want.

I pray for blessing, and forgiveness, and mercy, not what it is we deserve.

Indeed. I join in prayer for a nationwide renewal of our Christian faith.

I think the correct biblical analogy is to Isaiah 6:8:

Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.

So far Bachmann, Santorum and Perry have answered that call. They have made the committment. They have said "Here I am, send me."

Palin has not made that commitment. That is sad, especially since the war is already waging against these other three committed Christians and committed candidates.

I am praying at this time that Palin makes a commitment to back one of the other candidates who has a chance to win.

The call has gone out, "Who will go for us." Palin has not answered the call.

Indeed. I join in prayer for a nationwide renewal of our Christian faith.

If the religious conservatives "can keep their heads when all about them are losing theirs", then this election will either resound to God's glory, or it will, at a minimum, have given this nation one more opportunity to choose what clearly is an anti-God, anti-Life, anti-freedom, anti-Christian alternative.

God, though, knows how to protect His children from tribulation.

Quite the short sighted, mean spirited post from someone who claims to be a Christian. Shame on you.

To my mind she has answered the call. She has received outrageous criticism on herself and on her whole family ever since she was nominated as VP during the last election.

She has essentially lived under a microscope, and she has handled it all superbly. Who knows God's timing? She has said, if there is no other ... then she will step forward with common sense solutions, and she will. Be glad. The election is over a year away, so relax a bit. The danger to a candidate is that they will peak too soon. We know the press will make every effort to cast everything she does negatively ... as they did with her brief comments to Katie Couric 3 years ago. Held up to ridicule on the Saturday night live TV program. David Letterman's almost nightly cuts, and Jon Stewart too.
She handled it well.

We should be discussing what she is doing well, and not criticizing her endlessly. We are her supporters. Are we supporting her or adding fuel to the sabotage efforts coming out from the progressive liberal press etc.?

We are undermining our own candidate the one we hope to have ... over and over. She has young children and she has stayed busy being active with speeches and appearances, Writing another book. etc. ... ... Shame on us! MOO.

It is posts like that that make me support her less and less. I am simply pointing out what I believe is the issue. She is NOT a candidate. We have three committed Christians who are. They have answered the call, she has not. Your personal insults do nothing to add to the debate. It is time she announced. I have given up on her. It's too bad. I had high hopes, but it seems she wants to play games rather than join the fray and it isn't "cute" anymore.

Isaiah didn't hesitate a moment when he heard the call.

We are in this world ... not of this world. Sometimes we forget that.

Worldly influences are all around us like a sea. It is difficult to stay true to the truth of God..

I don't know whether Sarah Palin was called of God at this time to run for the top of the ticket. She may be called to support someone else or to carry the ticket as the Vice Presidential candidate once again.

I am however strongly convinced that she will be the first female President of the United States.

Not one of us knows which of these candidates "had a call", nor do you have any idea if she has "not answered a call". For all you know she is "answering a call" in the right timing.

I'm sorry, that's not an attempt to insult, but it's kind of presumptuous of you to think you have discerned everything that's happening here.

It is posts like that that make me support her less and less.

I believe she has supporters like Ron Paul in that they are extremely committed and over react at the slightest perceived negative comment. I thought it was telling after the Iowa Straw Poll a crowd watching the Hannity show were asked if she should run immediately yelled NO!

Isaiah didn't hesitate a moment when he heard the call.

Maybe she isn't being called. I hope she does not decide to run, while I agree with her on just about everything, I don't think she can win.

FWIW, I like all three of the candidates you mentioned; Bachmann, Perry and Santorum. They are running and they believe in the things I believe in.

I think she ended any possibility of that when she resigned as Gov..

Personally I would like to see Rep. Bachmann as the VP and then after two terms the POTUS.

Thank you for sharing your concerns, dear wmfights!

I am convinced not by any facts of the matter but by the peace I have when I am praying for her.
