Rye Playland was shut down Tuesday after cops scuffled with Muslims upset that women wearing head scarves were barred from the rides, witnesses said.
Fifteen people, including three women, were charged with disorderly conduct and assault in the chaos, authorities said.
The Westchester County park was packed with Muslims celebrating Eid-ul-Fitr - the holiday marking the end of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan.
One woman, Entisai Ali, began arguing with cops over the amusement park's head scarf, or hijab, rule, said Dena Meawad, 18, of Bay Ridge, Brooklyn.
The ban, which is not Muslim specific, was imposed about 3 years ago mostly to prevent hats from falling onto the tracks of roller coasters and other rides, park officials said.
"The cops started getting loud with her and she started getting loud, too. They pushed her on the ground and arrested her," Meawad said.
Her cousin, Kareem Meawad, 17, went to try to protect the woman and was beaten by cops and also arrested, she added. Her brother, Issam Meawad, 20, was pushed to the ground and taken into custody when he tried to help his cousin, she said.

I assume they would have preferred one of those girls’ hijabs get wrapped around an axle, so that way they wouldn’t have had to chop her head off in an honor killing when she started dating a kuffir she met on her day at the park.

This crime was premeditated.
The event was "organized" all right. This is the "Flying Imams" all over again. The article states law enforcement spokespeople took pains to inform the Muslim American Society of the requirements well in advance.
This gang is probing and looking for weakness on the part of officialdom. They're hoping to gradually win de facto acknowledgment of their special rights like they have in Canada and Europe where the cops just look the other way when they break the rules and throw their weight around.
“Try to protect the women”. = Jumped on a cop’s back.
Last month during my stay at the Cleveland Clinic, the guy in the room next door was a muslim, and despite the fact that a muslim prayer room is available on site, this clown insisted on singing at prayer time.
Then, he started coming in my room because there was a muslim woman on the floor from the same country as him and he thought I was her.
I had to tell the nurses to keep him out, he really creeped me out.
I found the Rye Playland website and contacted them and gave them my support for their actions.
Had one of the muslims ended up injured because a scarf got loose, it wouldn’t be the girl with the scarf who got sued, it would be Playland for failure to enforce its restrictions.
It was a lose-lose for Playland any way you look at it.

Can you imagine the stink and filth of the over 50 busses that were needed to transport this crowd of slime to their riot site???

Peter Tartaglia, deputy commissioner of Westchester County Parks, said the Muslim American Society of New York was warned in advance of the rule barring head scarves on rides for safety reasons.
"Part of our rules and regulations, which we painstakingly told them over and over again, is that certain rides you cannot wear any sort of headgear," Tartaglia said. "It's a safety issue for us on rides, it could become a projectile."
The park was closed for two hours plus the cost of law enforcement. The Muslim American Society of New York and the arrested perps should be charged for the losses and costs. They knew the rules, but didn't like them. Don't go there then.
Why argue with cops? If this were a group of drunks, druggies, prostitutes, or anyone else you'd never hear about this story. Something like this takes place every shift
Although perhaps if they were Amish you would, but it wouldn't end in violence or arrests.

Why the need for violence? Why wouldn’t CAIR be embarrassed that 15 Muslims made the other 3000 look bad? Instead it’s Islamaphobia. Absurd.
If this were an outing I was on I’d be quoted shaming the members of our group that argued with and fought the cops.
