Boehner Win Deux: Speaker should schedule a Republican response to Hussein's campaign speech

The last time Hussein demanded free air time from his network sycophants, John Boehner was wise in his request for the opposition's "equal time" response. I think this should be the same.

Thoughts?

Why not? To anyone with a functioning medulla oblongota, Hussein is delivering a campaign speech. Hussein has NOT called his lackeys in the Congressional Black Caucus to stop their hate speech against the Tea Party, and to boot, the economy is getting WORSE.

Hussein will accuse Republicans of hurting America in his speech, it seems only right that Republicans get to respond...even if it is a five minute response that points people to a web site.

I still like the idea of all the declared Republican candidates unifying in one message: Hussein's policies are a failure, it is time to try CUTTING SPENDING and putting the taxpayer back in charge. That would be a public relations coup for the Republican brand.

I think it would be counterproductive, since the Republicans would be setting themselves up to compete with the NFL for viewers. Let’s just let Barry do that and sit back and laugh. Nobody is going to tune in to him save his diehard supporters, so there is really nothing to be gained from a rebuttal, except to get a few sound bites in the next day’s news cycle.

I believe in the doctrine of equal time but in this case Obama has Boehner boxed in leaving him with Hobson’s Choice.

The latest report is that Obama wil speak Thursday night just before the kickoff of the NFL game.

For Boehner to speak after Obama would be like blowing in the wind - a big part of the audience will be jumping to the NFL game.

An option is to ask for equal time to speak before Obama’s speech. That would give him a much smaller audience and reduce him to criticizing a “plan” that hasn’t yet been stated.

I think asking for equal time to speak after Obama is the better of the two bad options.

Sure. Rick Perry coud make it. Of course that would never be permitted but seriousy, I like the idea of someone like Paul Ryan making a response.

Have Rubio do a 30 minute introduction.

Better yet put Marco’s speech on the teleprompter and let Obama deliver it.

Long term, you want the old media to pay for giving time to a rat for a campaign speech. Rebuttal time is very expensive for the old media.

Boehner is not a good speaker. If they are going to do this, pick someone else.

You make a good point. There probably should be a rebuttal, but as someone else suggested, they should probably keep it short and to the point, or they are going to quickly lose the attention of people who will just switch over to football.

No one I know will be watching the Puke in Chief. Anyone that does, needs to call their doctor for anti-nausea pills and then schedule a psychiatric assessment ASAP.

You are right.

A better course is to ignore the effort.

Placing flat screens around the hall with the ball game on would be a worthy response

Remember who is delivering the speech.

Besides, it’s Barry. We already know what he will say. We have seen his same ole, same ole, tired plan before. Boehner could record the rebutal now, and play it before the speech — a pre-buttal, as it were.

I certainly will not watch anything this “dirt bag” POTUS Obama has to say. Any American that watches this incompetent, empty suit, anti-American, POTUS Obama is either insane, high on drugs or drunk with too much Kool-Aid consumption!!! Remember, those of you watching this buffoon, Obama, is the POTUS that has given the entire Middle East to “His’ Muslim Brotherhood brethren!!! The Democrat Party should force the “Traitor” to resign immediately!!! Innocent Black African Christians (Read the AP Story), murdered in Libya by the Obama Rebels, Jews murdered in Israel by Obama’s Egyptian “Muslim Brotherhood”!!! Yes, POTUS Barack Hussein Obama, the African Muslim, you know the African Muslims that were the real slave traders throughout Africa!!!
