Do you remember the jihadist terror campaign that ravaged Malmo, Sweden’s third largest city? Do you recall the bombings, the suicide-hijackings, and the random assassinations that finally coerced the city to surrender to Islamization?
No? Funny, I don’t remember them either. Yet there is no question that Malmo has surrendered. Large enclaves of the city, like similar enclaves throughout Western Europe, have earned the dread label “no-go zone.” They are unsafe for non-Muslims, particularly women who do not conform to Islamist conventions of dress and social interaction. They are especially perilous for police, firefighters, and emergency-medical technicians.
Why would a community discourage the so-called first-responders? After all, the top priority of law-enforcement officers is to assist crime victims. In an Islamic enclave, a high percentage of these will be Muslims. And obviously, the fire department and the ambulances are dispatched to save lives — here, Muslim lives. Yet, the community is hostile. The police and other emergency personnel are viewed as agents of the non-Muslim state. Their presumptuousness in entering the Islamic enclave and acting under the color of Swedish law is taken as an affront to Islamic sovereignty.
An Islamic enclave in the West may as well be the West Bank, and the authorities the IDF. They are regarded no differently. That is why, as Soeren Kern of the Madrid-based Strategic Studies Group notes, “Fire and emergency workers . . . refuse to enter Malmo’s mostly Muslim Rosengaard district without police escorts.” And sensibly so: When firefighters attempted to extinguish a blaze at the city’s main mosque, local Muslims pelted them with stones.

Let the b’d’s burn themselves down, steal each other blind, and murder each other off. Just contain them within their own enclave. Why waste the effort of rescuing the ignorant?

Non-Muslims are on notice: Enter at your own considerable risk. The police no longer go in. The nation no longer exercises sovereignty. These are invasions by another name. The areas are ceded to the sovereignty of another jurisdiction. They essentially aren’t part of France, or part of Sweden, anymore. As they grow, France or Sweden shrink.
The Left has been assisting the revival of Islam since at least 1922.

Muslims stoning Swedish firemen when the mosque’s on fire?
Was surprised and disappointed when I heard old Paul Harvey say it, but now fully agree that today’s Middle Eastern Persian/Turk/Arab tribal Muslim is neither ready for nor capable of anything like a modern civilization.
I am overcome by ennui over such stories.
And the global caliphate expands.
They are winning. Big time.
Insteady, we've put our own lack of cultural confidence out for all to see. Our elites laugh and deride the idea of a clash of civilizations, but they're wrong. They don't realize that Usama Bin Laden won. Not just on 9/11, but his movement is succeeding, even after the members have perished.
He never expected to win militarily. He just needed the Islamic world to be encouraged enough to keep pushing forward. To realize that the spirit was more important than the sword.
Once a society abandons their gods, they're ripe for conquest from within. Just as the Romans and Greeks once fell from polytheism to Christianity, so will Europe fall to Islam. The rotten husk of empire, where the citizens have grown selfish and focused on the now and not the future, is fertile ground for expansionist religions.
In 20 years, the Netherlands will be an Islamic state. In 50, the local Dutch will be all but extinct. The rest of Europe will not be far behind either of those two events. Unless they wake up and renounce the soul-deflating effects of collectivism and liberalism, they're done for.
At best, they can serve as a warning to America, who is on the same path, just much further behind.
How would you have fought the war?
One problem the EU has is a falling birth rate, so over time Muslims (with their higher birth rate) will end up being a higher percentage of the population. They can expel the Muslims, but the reason they were brought in the first place was to ‘do the jobs that Europeans couldn’t do’ because there just arent enough of them anymore.
The second problem is the fact we need the oil in the Mid East. I think we should have invested alot more money a long time ago into looking at alternative technologies. If we had succeeded, we could just build a giant wall around the entire Mid East and ignore it.
First, I would have called it 'The War on Al-qa'ida' and gotten a Declaration of War from Congress. Then, made it clear to the Taliban that I was going to install their worst enemies into power if they didn't give him up. Next, I'd invade and install their worst enemies. We'd hunt, not capture, as many AQ folks as possible within 3-6 months, then leave. The warning wouldn't be for AQ, it would be for the new government. Don't let AQ operate in this country. If you do, we'll be back, and we'll put yet a different faction in power.
No nation building. No 'you broke it, you bought it'. Nothing but regime change and a threat. Find someone with something to lose, and put him in charge. Make it clear to him and his allies that we can snap our fingers and destroy everything they care about, and put their families and tribe under the thumb of their hated enemies if they cross us. You are powerless to stop us. If you enjoy being in charge, then ensure we have no reason to return. Good day.
That would have worked in Iraq perfectly, for that matter. America would remain feared and respected, instead of spending a trillion plus dollars showing the world how weak willed and inept we are.
We can let Tier 1 SOF hunt AQ in the shadows to kill the terrorists, and raid their SSE for items of intel value. Computers. Phones. Documents. It's generally not worth the effort to interrogate them, and the message that we aren't interested in prisoners spreads fast. Make it clear that their only chance for an AQ operative to retire alive is to come forward and tell us everything before we have to come find them. Make it doubly clear that if they go back to terrorism, we'll be back, with a .50cal round from the adjacent zip code.
A swift regime change with governments, and merciless eradication of non state actors, is the best policy. We'd have been done with AQ years ago. We'd have had a lot more resources to throw at finding those cleverly hiding folk in Pakistan, and the rest of the world would remember us as they did in late 2001. Not the tired joke we are in 2011.

Maybe those Canadian “Slut Walkers” should book some group travel to Sweden and do some of their shtick in Malmo.
Great ideas. Too bad they will never see the light of day under this or any other likely administration. (I’d love to be proven wrong about this.)
