WICHITA, Kansas – Wichita police say the man who killed a six-year-old girl and shot her mom, sister and grandmother before turning the gun on himself had been deported from the country twice.
Police originally said the man’s name was Valentin Vega-Soto, a 36-year-old Mexican national. However, after running a finger check, they realized that was his alias. His legal name is Joel Humberto Corrales Vega.
They say after investigating further, they found he had been deported from the U.S. twice in the past and has a criminal history outside of Kansas. KSN has found records showing at least one court case involving Vega in Arizona.
Officials say Vega kicked down the door of his 30-year-old ex-girlfriend’s home in the 2300 block of S. Stoney Point and shot her, her mother and two young daughters before shooting himself in the head.
Six-year-old Reimy Rivera died at the scene. Her nine-year-old sister, Dayanara, remains in very critical condition. Police say she has regained consciousness a couple times while in the hospital, but remain concerned. Her mother and grandmother are expected to survive.
Officers found about one ounce of what is believed to be meth in Vega’s Escalade, which was parked outside his ex-girlfriend’s home. They are still awaiting toxicology reports to confirm the substance, but say one ounce of meth is more than just for personal use.
I’ve been informed that immigration won’t be an issue in the next election so I guess these victims are SOL.

Now just imagine you live in one of those countries and you can cross to America where you can say or do anything and they will let you out on bail and expect you to come back for your trial...
We need to treat people they way they would be treated in their country. Any illegal stays in jail UNTIL we figure out what to do with them (and deportation should be automatic)
I stand by my position that illegals should receive a special tattoo and then be deported. Anyone found in this country with such a tattoo (after appropriate verification of the tattoo)should be be summarily shot. No trial or investigation needed. Coming into the country twice should be a death sentence.
At least the state of Texas will save on his tuition.
Deportation doesn’t work unless you actually secure the border.
There’s another article posted this morning where the Governor of Mass. said that the death of a local man killed by a vehicle driven by a Mexican here illegally could not be blamed on illegal immigration. I don’t know what’s wrong with these people. If the immigration laws worked the guy wouldn’t be here to kill anyone.

I read a story here in Michigan this morning about an illegal (mexican) being chased across the border where he was promptly captured by Canadian border patrol.
It really nice to live near a border where the nation on the other side actually works with us.
One should be very careful whom one dates. Illegals who do drugs, for instance, should not be on a woman’s list of Eligible Bachelors.
Makes one wonder what else illegal alien, Onyanga Obama has been arrested for, and how many other names he also uses, besides the arrest and name used Wednesday...
And the tatoo should be on their forehead, easily visible to any one who looks at the guy/girl/child.
