Video: Gov. Rick Perry’s First Return To Texas from the Campaign Trail by Bryan Preston 8/20/11

Regarding Obama’s record that the governor referred to a couple of times, it continues to drive the president’s numbers down. A little over a year ago it was a bit eye-popping to see him sink well below 40% in Texas, a state where it’s fair to say his policies have never been popular. But now the president is down to 35%…in Pennsylvania. Both Perrys refer to the heat in their speeches. Not only has Texas experienced a historic heat wave this summer, it might have topped 120 degrees in the venue.

I don't know how the above post got screwed up but here it is again without the youtube video of his speech

Gov. Rick Perry’s First Return To Texas from the Campaign Trail

One week after declaring his candidacy for the presidency, Texas Gov. Rick Perry and his wife, First Lady Anita Perry, returned to the Lone Star State. The Perrys met with friends and supporters at Abel’s on the Lake in Austin, where both delivered rousing remarks. I’ve included both of the Perrys’ remarks in the following video. Both talk about their first week on the trail, and Gov. Perry wastes no time before taking aim at President Obama’s economic record. Noting that one in six Americans who want jobs can’t find one, Perry said “Mr. President, that is not an economic record, that is an economic disaster.” Perry also zings Obama’s 2008 “hope and change” feelgood rhetoric.

Thanks! I’ll transfer it to my photobucket account. The hotlinking offer is quite generous, but I don’t like doing it. I’ve had problems with folks hotlinking my images without my knowledge and using up my bandwidth, so I’ve made it sort of a personal rule to avoid it. :)

No worries! In terms of bandwidth - I have everything on a pro photobucket account, so I love to see the bandwidth stats go up. That's why I'm more than happy to have all and sundry hotlink to 'em if they want to.

Here's another little number I just put together (it's got a bigger brother, too, just remove the "_sm" from the end of the file name):
