A pub in Croydon described it as an "absolute war zone"...saying "there is not a lot we can do".

Any resourceful person that can't get a bat, could take a short ride out to the country or the park, saw down a bundle of 3" dia. hardwoods, and whittle some great durable clubs for him and his friends. If he asked for a few bucks each, he'd even be employed now. Entrepreneurial capitalism at work.
