Breivik no Christian nut, just nuts
Toronto Sun ^ | July 26, 2011 | Ezra Levant

Posted on 07/26/2011 1:11:51 PM PDT by La Enchiladita

Anders Behring Breivik, a 32-year-old from Oslo, has confessed to murdering 76 Norwegians in a shooting and bombing spree last Friday.

When the bomb exploded outside the prime minister’s office in Oslo, a Muslim terrorist group called Ansar al-Jihad al-Alami, which means Helpers of the Global Jihad, took credit.

But they were lying. It was the work of a lone madman — although Breivik told a judge there are two other cells of activists also operating.

Whether or not that’s true remains to be seen — or whether it’s part of Breivik’s bizarre mind. In a 1,500-page manifesto Breivik released just before his spree, he says he’s a member of the Knights Templar, an order of soldiers that fought the crusades, but was disbanded 800 years ago.

They [MSM] were positively relieved, even thrilled, the mass murder here was done by someone who wasn’t Muslim.

CBC news anchors started repeating every hour: The murderer was by a “Christian fundamentalist” who hated Muslims.

And the Christian part? He hadn’t been to a church since he was a teenager. His manifesto said the opposite.

He wrote, “I guess I’m not an excessively religious man. I am first and foremost a man of logic.”

And “myself and many more like me do not necessarily have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and God.”

Definitely not.

But the CBC calls him a Christian fundamentalist.

He’s as Christian fundamentalist as Jared Loughner is conservative Republican.

What he did was evil, sure, but recently EVERY rape in Oslo was committed by muzzie perps, and over 70% of those in Norwegian prisons are muzzies.

A key part of the Labor party platform is endless importation of people who promise to bring more violence, drug-dealing and women-hatred to Norway.

Evil, sure, but how is what he did *INSANE*...? Tell me.

Gee, he killed a bunch of innocent people who had nothing to do with rape. Somehow he’s a defender? If anything, he’ll make it worse.

I'm getting a bit sick of the secular humanist mindset that anyone who does anything sinful must be doing it because they are 'insane'. They've replaced the concept of sin with the concept of 'right-thinking' as if every murder is something to be resolved with therapy.

I've seen nothing to suggest this fellow is the least bit insane in the more professional sense of the term. He has a worldview that is a bit unique, but fairly logical in its structure.

His worldview is rooted in Darwinism (thus lacking value for human life, and treating 'competition' in the form of murdering political opponents as an acceptable option). However, he personally valued what he called 'cultural Christianity' (explicitly including western European atheism/agnosticism in that tradition - as astute observation in my opinion). He didn't attend church, pray or otherwise have a relationship with God, but he did value the results of Christian faith that he still sees around him in European culture. Thus his Darwinian predilections motivated him to try to defend that waning tradition with brute force.

How interesting that the last 10 seconds of the video was removed —in spite of no obscenity at all.

Why did the little boy —in spite of what you can be sure was a pretty secular upbringing— declare that they were Christians..? I mean...it struck his mom as so weird that she was clearly embarrassed.

Why did he do that..?

How is might his own recent Norwegian upbringing differ from that of this mother, decades ago...?

Okay, Mr. Levant. Whatever you say.

Why don’t you talk some more? That seems to be solving the islam problem, right? We’ll all just talk the muslims out of our civilized countries. More talk, that’s the ticket.

/s

But seriously...Why is it we conservatives are so worried about what the propagandist press says? They’re going to lie about us anyway. They’ll link us to anything that might make us look bad. Do we think we can stop that by jumping the gun and condemning everyone and everything that the press might link us to that could “put us in a bad light”?

Seems to me their propaganda is working. IT’S WORKING ON US! We’re like self-conscious shoolchildren, always afraid of what the other kids will say about us. We should heed our mothers’ advice: Ignore them and leave them to their own crowd. Get on with doing what needs to be done.

He might not be guilty. Perhaps Sarah Palin had once put crosshairs over Norway.

Go read his manifesto and how he defines knights.
He used Christian imagery but disliked Christianity.

Here is the Norwegian TV broadcast.

It’s about 2 minutes long, and even in it the pretty Norwegian female cop is bending over backwards to explain how the Muslim rapists of Oslo are to be pitied, as they come from STRESSFUL countries:

Just completely pitiful.

That Christian religious imagery is also what Zero uses a lot of. These weird concepts of love and forgiveness that liberals have, for, say, feeding the hungry abroad but not rescuing babies in abortion clinics etc...
