[to bypass normal donation limits]

Romney has raised $12 million this year,
two-thirds the amount of his own fund-raising.
At least four independent “super PACs’’ are being run by the aides

within the confines of individual donation limits,

Only $12 million? Barry Soetoro must be laughing his billionaire ass off. That’s chump change to him. Of course, you’ll never read about that in the Boston Globe.
Romney is being backed by Obama supporters because they know he will suppress the base.
We need some trojan horses running for the Democrat nomination against Obama to do the same to them.
Then the base is dumb. It is true that if and only if we have enough dumb Republicans to make him the nominee that there is noway in heck I’m sitting out or voting for Obama. I will vote the most conservative rep and senator so that no matter what Romney does he will have to do it with them. He’s more likely to get some things done we like than Obama will. In fact I’d argue that Obama with a completely Republican congress will give him the platform he wants to pitch the true socialism that many of his followers would die for, and if the economy slogs long enough in 2016 we will really be in for a whole world of hell.
