Remember, Citizens...

nobama hates you, hates your family, hates Free America, hates Americans, hates the Constitution and hates the Bill of Rights. nobama is a hate crime foisted upon America.

Everything nobama does is intentional.

God help us all.

Exactly! There has not been any recovery other than possibly in some purely technical indicators. No sane person believes there has been any real recovery or even a real end to the recession.

One of the consequences of the Baraqqi Depression rarely reported in the MSM is tremendous UNDER-employment.

There are a LOT of recent college grads working for 8-10 bucks an hour.

“There are a LOT of recent college grads working for 8-10 bucks an hour.”
/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Not surprising since most recent college graduates seem to have maybe an eighth grade education by the old standards.

It's precisely what my Indian father wanted; for me to go to college so I could get a job like his at 7-11. Read further - there are no jobs within 500 miles of my zip code.

Huh. I expected the rocky mountains to be a little rockier than this. That John Denver's full of $#!!.

There is no recovery.

They took on another 6 Trillion Dollars of Debt to produce a 200 Billion increase in GDP.

$30 of debt for $1 of “growth”.

We are suckers and we are bankrupt as a nation, fiscally and morally.

No one in their right mind is going to invest in U.S. economic growth as long as Marxists are in charge of the economy.

It makes no sense to take additional risks to try to increase profits if those profits are going to be stolen by Obama and “redistributed”, whether such redistribution occurs via Obamacare, increased taxes, increased regulation, deliberately increased increasing energy prices, deliberate destruction of the currency via insane inflationary policies, or deliberate destruction of the Constitution by ignoring it.

That’s the real reason our economy is in the crapper, and everyone is “Going Galt” in every which way they can figure out how to until things change.

U.S. economic growth will explode as soon as Obama is gone and his successor abolishes all of the job-killing programs, Obamacare, uncertainty, taxes, and regulations he promulgated.

Perhaps one could say we are not in recovery?

Some small business people make good money running 7 elevens, but a college degree is hardly neccessary imho. Perhaps a few business courses, but one should be able to demonstrate competency in some way without the need for a college degree. Demanding that everyone in this country go to college is one of the things screwing this country up. Many don’t ever payback the taxpayer loans and aren’t cut out for it to begin with.

I believe the upside is that most were Obama voters and are becoming seriously disillusioned.

I troll on a forum that is semi-political but has a lot of 20-something folks. Over the last 2 yrs, I can see the change happening.

Elation -—> still Bush’s fault -—> wow this sucks bigtime

after the government released weak jobs figures showing unemployment crept up to 9.2 percent

IIRC, the rate last month was 9.1 percent.

If a Republican was in the White House, the article sentence would read, after the government released weak jobs figures showing unemployment crept up exploded to 9.2 percent

My stepson who was 33 when Obummer was elected thought he literally would be the messiah, he believed all the liberal crap to the point that I wound up screaming at him. I just could not imagine how someone with a 145 IQ could be such an idiot as to suck up all that garbage. He actually thought he would be getting free health care! Even he now says that he is angry with Obummer. The bloom is truly off the Kenyan rose. There were countless numbers of dingbats just like my stepson who thought there would be an end to war and troops would be coming home immediately rather than an unauthorized, illegal attack on Libya which if successful in removing Gaddhafi will certainly end with someone far worse assuming control of Libya. They really thought he could shit pink unicorns. The utter imbecility of liberals is beyond understanding.

From the article:
The economy has already lost 493,000 government jobs since the recession ended, most of them eliminated by cash-short cities and counties. Now it faces the prospect of big cuts by the federal government, too.
IMHO, 493K is about 10% of the cutting that needs to take place. Way too many government workers making way too much money.

When I had an associate’s degree, 7-11 wages were actually higher than what I could earn in my chosen career field.

Now that I have a PhD, my 7-11 days are far in the past.

I can’t think of very many positions at Southland Corporation (if that is still the parent company) that actually require a college degree, especially not at the retail level. At headquarters, however, there probably are a few positions—accountants, legal staff, and the like—that require a college education.

Remember the tone in the media under George W. Bush when unemployment went past 5%? The end of the world was nigh. And now, after two years of 8% and higher? "Oh, Obama's trying soooo hard to fix this. But those meeeaann Republicans are just standing in his way."
