And, now, the group Americans for Rick Perry reports it has raised a fair amount of money in a short amount of time.
Bob Schuman, a senior strategist for Americans for Rick Perry, said Thursday that the group is expanding its fundraising operation outside of Texas to include Miami, Chicago, and Washington, D.C. The group can accept unlimited donations but, under federal law, can't strategize with Perry himself.

But Sarah likes him. She "really" likes him.
Governor Sarah Palin's Endorsement of Governor Rick Perry
"That's why I am supporting Governor Rick Perry for re-election. He does what is right regardless of whether it is popular. He walks the walk of a true conservative. And he sticks to his guns and you know how I feel about guns!" ...... Sarah Palin, January 17, 2009

The Perry Derangement Syndrome people are starting to make me move the man to the top my list.
Don’t care.
Since when has “Well yeah sure he's done all these bad things - but look who likes him” been an argument that holds water outside teenage girls? Essentially that is your response. You are unable to deny his record, but if someone popular likes him its supposed to be okay anyway.
Keep running your cheerleader squad tryout style campaign Polybus.
Maybe you can get invited to cool parties.
Perry can beat Bammy Boy by 20 points—— easily.
Perry can pull in the big money donors who are sick of the POS Kenyan screwing up this economy and screwing up our oil coal and energy sector
You need a lot of $$$$ to beat Bammy Boy and Rick Perry can raise it
Wow.
How full of yourselves you are.
You have the nerve to compare the media’s treatment of Palin and the inarticulate responses from people who attack Palin, to me. I simply posted links to earlier freerepublic posts. Just a little bit of research, background on Perry.
Any criticism of Perry is deranged, huh?
There’s nothing deranged about not wanting a Globalist like Rick Perry to be President.
I guess you want more links on this thread?
Karl in a Corner

Second, Roves opponents would regularly find that they had suddenly become the target
of a criminal investigation, and details concerning the investigation would be
aggressively fanned to the press. Rove mastered this technique in a contest
for the Texas Agriculture Commissioners post that he managed for now-Governor Rick Perry.
It Started in Texas: Karl Roves Political Prosecutions
http://www.harpers.org/archive/2007/07/hbc-90000569
1. Rove was hired to run the campaign of Rick Perry, the current governor,
for the powerful Texas office of Commissioner of Agriculture, then held by
Democrat Jim Hightower. Shortly thereafter, it was clear that a major
FBI investigation had been launched into the workings of the Texas Agriculture
Department (TDA), focusing on Hightower and his senior lieutenants, who had been
pursuing a populist, anti-corporate agriculture and pro-small-farmer agenda.
Jim Hightower talks about his new book, “Thieves in High Places: They’ve Stolen Our Country and it’s Time to Take it Back”
http://www.buzzflash.com/interviews/03/08/21_hightower.html
HIGHTOWER: Rick Perry, back then (currently Texas Governor), was his client, so to speak,
and Perry had been recruited. He was sort of a nothing Texas legislator who had been brought
in — again as an affable fellow without any brain muscle. Perry was essentially sent to
wander around out in West Texas during the campaign so he would be out of the way,
while Rove worked this FBI agent and raised money from the chemical industry
and other corporate interests that opposed me. Rove had George Bush go on
television against me. Then Rove ran a series of television ads that
established a new low in negative advertising.
For example, they showed a long-haired guy setting a flag on fire,
and throwing it on the ground. And then my picture came up out of the fire, and said
“Hightower supports flag burning,” which, of course, I don t. But it doesn t matter,
you know. I had to go around answering: “Why do you support flag burning?”
Rove had another ad of me campaigning with Jesse Jackson, who I supported in 1988
in the Presidential campaign. And Rove ran this ad that essentially was a smear
on Jackson and then tying me to him. The ad so angered the Black Caucus in the State Legislature
that they convened their own press conferences in Houston and Dallas to assail it. But again it was too late.
All this was happening in the last three weeks of the election. So, I mean, that s just who the guy is.
It’s money time and the serious are raising it hand over fist. Perry will take more than money to Romney, he will take all the conservative tier vote who want Obama out and split the moderates with Romney. Now that’s “Game Over”. What we are waiting on with Perry is initial splash cash. Texas likes to do things in a big way and I believe in the end that the Bush machine will eventually back Rick if he is able to run well against Romney.
Shame on you.
Being Texan like GW Bush might be Rick Perry’s only possible downside. Anyways, American voters are very superficial these days. Perry is a good enough speaker, he looks good with a nice head of black hair, his wife looks good. Put him side by side w that ugly, jug eared, pos Obama and people will vote for Rick Perry. How about American voters comparing Moochelle to Rick Peryy’s wife too?
Obama got in based on a superficial image, white racial guilt and with no real world experience. We beat him with our own “image candidate” but who has had loads of experience governing Texas
Nah, no way, everybody knows Obama secretly fears that Texas tornado Ron Paul...
Who are you to say that Sarah Palin "did not do her homework" in regards to Rick Perry?
Are you so full of yourself and your Politically Holier Than Thou attitude that, if Sarah Palin disagrees with you politically, then she must be so lazy that she "did not do her homework"?
I am not "making fun of Sarah Palin" because, in regards to Rick Perry, I completely agree with her.
Rick Perry is the one conservative candidate that can pound Obama in 2012 like Ronald Reagan pounded Jimmy Carter in 1980.
I am making fun of you fanatics who believe that you know more about Sarah Palin than Sarah Palin knows about Sarah Palin.
Oh, by the way, JimRob also thinks that Rick Perry "would be an excellent alternative to Obama the Commie".
Since you probably believe that you also know more about JimRob than JimRob knows about himself, why don't you send him a FReepMail and point out to him that he is mistaken and he does not really believe that.

We now have conservatives Bachmann and Cain officially in the race fending off RINO Romney; and Palin and Perry could possibly jump in. My hopes are with Palin, but if she decides not to run I could be happy with Bachmann or Cain. Also, if Palin does not run but Perry does, he'd probably suck all the air out of the race. Either way, Palin, Bachmann, Cain or even Perry would all be excellent alternatives to Obama the commie. Anyone but RINO Romney the big government chief architect of CommieCare!

I’ll bet Rick Perry and his people are talking to the big money people (donors) right now. Feeling them out. Seeing what kind of support Rick can expect.
Right or wrong, these days people want a young and dynamic looking president. This is part of the reason ol man McCain lost to a bizarre Kenyan w three Muslim names. Rick Perry has a youthful and dynamic image on TV. He is very presentable. They called him Governor Goodhair and not for nothing. Put Rick Perry’s photo side by side with Hussein Obama’s and guess who most Americans are going to vote for?
I have to agree. Sarah knows and knew Perry. She was at the RGA with him I believe and she wouldn’t have campaigned for him if she didn’t think he was the best choice for Governor of Texas. He was a way better choice than KBH.
That doesn’t make him the best choice for POTUS though.I’m sure Sarah would agree with me on that.
So Perry is from the same state as Bush. So What! They are totally different. The hateful comments of “another cowboy with his bible from Texas”. A religious conservative is what a lot of voters are looking for. A Governor of TX that was elected 3 times has a lot of experience governing. Certainly not like that radical Obama. Perry sure won’t need a telepromter to talk to a grade school class.
Bachmann is no sale. She'll be easily dismissed as an unaccomplished extremist even relative to her own party, with spooky theocratic notions, a flake with a truth problem, with an unlicensed therapist husband who tries to cure homosexuals and a whisper campaign he does so out of self-hated. She would provide Obama a target rich environment.
Sarah endorsed McCain. There are some who were mad at the time.
But it doesn’t mean that McCain is suddenly Sarah.
She endorsed McCain - doesn’t mean McCain is any good
She endorsed Perry - doesn’t mean Perry is any good
Logically, Palin helped Palin out, and now Perry is helping Palin out, exactly how, I’m not sure. But when Palin gets in (and it looks like she will - she said there had to be a good conservative in there for her to stay out, and Bachmann isn’t viable, and Perry is just awful, so, Palin is really needed), Perry won’t get in.
Bachmann’s background is disqualifying. Not an acceptable substitute for Palin. 2 weeks ago I thought differently. But 2 weeks ago I hadn’t really stared at that wikipedia bio, tried to figure out a timeline, hadn’t searched for Marcus Bachmann on youtube.
And Perry is just awful. If I had to choose between Bachmann and a sure loss, with a huge dose of humiliation, and Perry. I take Bachmann in a second. I don’t think Bachmann would be bad for America. I’d worry Perry would sell half of the US to the Chinese because the Fed said it was the only way. If Merck pitches a microchip scheme to Perry, well he has a nasty track record. Michele is facepalm (not yet, of course), but I’d vote for her without hesitation if the only choices were her and Perry.
The more I hear about Perry, the more I see how his minions act, the more I like every single other candidate, and with Michele’s unviability, I’m looking at people like Santorum more closely. If Perry can fake tea party, so can Santorum, and there’s nothing on Santorum’s solid (but not true tea party) record that’s disqualifying. It’s pretty impressive.
college degree, mba, jd (Romneys degrees more elite, but Santorums schools were all plenty solid). Then a good law firm, then a US Rep, then a US Senator. Solid. And proven on social issues. Santorum says “10th Amendment” a couple of times, “limited constitutional goverment”, and he’ll get a look. There’s really nothing bad there.
So, I’m looking at Santorum as someone who could put on a fresh coat of tea party paint. Santorum does have the clear advantage over Perry on education. Perry over Santorum on military. Ron Paul is the only one with Military and elite education. Air Force and Duke Medical.
I haven’t researched Pawlenty, Huntsman, Gingrich
Yep - if things stay like they are then I may end up supporting him if he runs and assuming palin does not run. Bachmann is the only other possibility. I like her positions better but I think Perry would be a better candidate to trounce Obama and I can live with Perry. Bachmann puts her foot in her mouth too often and gives her enemies too many unncessary openings. Actually the two of them together would make a nice combo
So you really don't like Perry, who's better?
No Perry. No way.
If I wanted to vote for a pandering RINO, I’d have backed McCain.
Santorum is reliable but Pennsylvania politics and RINO’s kind of put him in a box to support Specter over Toomey. He did. There are enough of those who find that error permanently disqualifying. They will give you as big a headache as those whining against the Perry-this and Perry-that crowd.
How revealing for you to be quoting a most Yeller Dog liberal in the State of Texas, Jim Hightower. Then again your either have no clue who ol Jim is or you agree with Jim Hightower on more than simply suffering from Perry Derangemnet Syndrome.
I don’t trust Rick Perry..
He has the stink of John McLaim on im..
It’s Palin Derangement Syndrome.
It doesn’t mean Anyone who doesn’t like my candidate.
You’re insulting Palin by using that.
you have to have been attacked by the media - Perry hasn’t.
and more importantly, the arguments used against you are often emotional outbursts. The derangement part. Often people can’t explain why they hate Palin.
I can explain why I hate Perry.
Perry is a Globalist
Globalists are worse than RINOs
Perry shows Globalism by
1) Bilderberg
2) Trans Texas Corridor
3) Gardasil
No other candidate (off the top of my head) has anything as bad as any one of those 3. And he has the nerve to try to present himself as tea party. And now the nerve to claim valid criticism as derangement.
Does anyone remember from 4 years ago any group of supporters more obnoxious than Perry supporters?
Perry supported Giuliani in 08.
Perry’s list of terrible is very very long.
And simply supporting the incumbent, well, it just me
We all wanted Hayworth. But Palin picked McCain. We understood. Sometimes you just have to do it. But Santorum is singled out, ruled out, just for that?
I would argue that we might have to bite the bullet on Santorum if that’s all you have on him. Of course, the only thing we hear about Santorum is toomey race, count him out. and yes, it was bad. but not gardasil bad. Perry was al gores campaign manager in texas. Perry was switched to Republican and managed by Karl Rove. And Santorum, with a better education, solid solid dc experience, and excellent record on war on gay. Even though he did use “man on dog”, that should get him socons. His record is stronger than Bachmanns, because her war on gay creds only include “pray the gay away” and very little medical science cure. I think he recognizes the science.
Rick Perry was brought to the Republican Party by Karl Rove, who managed his first campaign. Perry was a Democrat who managed Al Gores texas campaign.
Yes, he has mccain on him i suppose, but it’s really more Rove than anything.
And I don’t remember McCain going on tv and trashing Christine O’Donnell.
You are criticizing links to Free Republic Threads.
Old Free Republic Threads are perfect examples of how Freepers thought at the time.
There is no better evidence. And you slur Free Republic itself.
Most if not all of the Republican candidates are better.
I haven’t examined McCotters resume. Does it have Gardasil, Trans-Texas Corridor, Bilderberg on it? Also haven’t looked at Buddy Roemer. Perry is the worse of the ones I’ve looked at. I heard a rumor that the “rent is too damn high” guy is running as a Republican. I’ll check to see if he was ever managed by Karl Rove, and make my decision based on that.
And don’t forget his buddying up to muslims.

what I’m beginning to believe is that old free republic threads have superpowers. when you’re looking for info on a candidate, free republic threads are better than any info. Just a link to a website - fine. A 4 year old FR thread with a link to that same website, completely bonus, because we know what we thought about that thing at that time.
I’m going to look very closely at perry on free republic.
I am not actually convinced that America has a problem with a Bible toter from TX at this point.
I am neither a Perry supporter nor a detractor.
I’m just saying, maybe a handsome Christian man from Texas will be more appealing to the USA that it was back in the days of Bush’s negative ratings. We were far better off then; and we’ve seen the contrast between a decent patriot in office and the man we are enduring at present.
Well said Grey Eagle....:)
How much was from Merck for his mandating their drugs?
Why do you Perry morons keep bringing me back to these threads? You know the result is just more links to free republic threads and other links pointing out, year in and year out, how we never liked Rick Perry.

on his desk. But when it did, he signed it inside of three hours.
In case you hadn’t noticed, it’s 2011, and Barack Hussein Obama is president. In 2012 American voters will decide whether Obama should get 4 more years or is there someone else. You are doing the Dems’ job for them. Right now Romney is way ahead in polls AND fundraising. Obama will beat Romney.
Perry can stop Romney and Obama. Is THAT your real problem with Perry?
Any fool knows that just because something was posted does not mean it has any basis in fact. Your tearing down any candidate with exaggerations and half truths doe not benefit anyone here at FR or our Country.
Reading your reply tells me you are far from serious and are just wanting to be antagonistic. McCotter, Roemer???, that fool “rents too damn high” guy, maybe you are just trying to undermine any GOP.
Next thing we'll hear is your crying to the Mods that Little Johnny called you a bad name.
Sarah Palin also ran with JOHN MCCAIN.
So I can believe she might be clueless about PERRY.
She supported McCain - Should we vote for McCain? Why then is her “endorsement” for Perry any better?
Until 1989, Rick Perry was a conservative Democrat. He switched parties as, like many Democrats including Ronald Reagan and Phil Gramm, he saw that party moving farther and farther to the left. Under Perrys decade as governor, hundreds of Texas Democrats have followed his lead and become Republicans. As a former Democrat, Perry can speak to that swath of his former party that has become disenchanted with their party as President Obama has taken it even farther to the left, in a way that few Republicans can. He can also speak well and credibly to all wings of the national GOP, from the fiscal cons to the social cons to the libertarian set.
He would appeal to all segments of the Republican electorate and would come armed with a record of economic success and a commitment to liberty that no other contender can match.
Texas has been voted #1 business climate for the last seven years.
Texas has been getting all of Californias jobs.
Perry must be doing something right.
We need a good business guy right now.
Perry has proved it. .
CONSERVATIVE ICONS SUPPORT PERRY:
>Sarah Palin threw her endorsement to Rick Perry for governor. Recently restated that she likes Perry
He walks the walk of a true conservative And he sticks by his guns and you know how I feel about guns. Sarah Palin http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/washington/2009/02/palin-perry-201.html
>Rush said that Perry is his dream candidate. http://gretawire.blogs.foxnews.com/rush-limbaugh-on-the-record-3/
>MICHAEL REGAN PRAISES PERRY If you dont believe Reaganomics can still work in this day and age, for whatever reason, I say you should look no further than the state of Texas. Under the leadership of Gov. Rick Perry, Texas has championed and built upon the concepts my father used to rebuild America in the 1980s.. In short, Reagan Revolution is alive and well - deep in the heart of Texas. http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2011/jun/24/reagans-vision-lives-on-in-texas/?page=1
>Ted nugent is a close friend and supporter.
>Since Perry has been Governor of Texas, Texas has added more than 850,000 jobs, more than all other states combined. Texas has added over 180,000 jobs since August of 2009.
>According to this web site Texas is #1 this year and last year for business friendly. http://chiefexecutive.net/best-worst-states-for-business Obama would not want not run against a governor that has the BEST business climate in the U.S. when everything else is in a depression.
>He refused to raise taxes when Texas faced a record $10 billion budget shortfall in 2003. Instead, he was the first Texas governor since World War II to sign a budget that lowered state spending (and has now done it twice). As governor, Perry has used his line item veto to cut over $3 billion in proposed spending.
>For seven years running, CEOs polled by Chief Executive magazine have rated Texas first in business development and job growth. Texas boasts 58 Fortune 500 companies more than any other state.
>As Americas No. 1 exporting state, Texas shipped $206.6 billion in goods abroad last year, composing 16 percent of Americas $1.28 trillion in exports. Californias $14.4 billion in exports ranked it second, with 11.2 percent of U.S. outflow.
>Texas achievements so stunned Gavin Newsom, Californias Democratic lieutenant governor, that he flew a delegation to Austin last May to ask Perry how he lures defectors from the Golden State.
>Of the 70 companies that fled California in 2011, the Wall Street Journals John Fund reported last April, 14 relocated to Texas these exiles primary destination. http://www.news-herald.com/articles/2011/06/21/opinion/nh4142489.txt
>In 2005, Perry signed a historic $15.7 billion property tax cut for homeowners and businesses that also included new taxpayer protections against appraisal increases. In 2009, Gov. Perry secured a tax cut for approximately 40,000 small businesses in Texas and protected the Rainy Day Fund for future challenges.
>He led the battle to pass the countrys most sweeping lawsuit reforms, closing the door on junk lawsuits that had been making trial lawyers rich while driving countless doctors either out of the state or the profession all together. Since Texas voters approved these reforms, malpractice claims and premiums have fallen and access to healthcare is increasing across the state as doctors have applied in droves to practice in Texas.
>Perry is also known for his socially conservative views on homosexuality, and he opposes same sex marriage. He condemned the United States Supreme Court decision in Lawrence vs. Texas, which struck down a Texas sodomy law. He called the law appropriate
. ABORTION:
>Perry is pro-life and opposes government funding for elective abortions. In 2005, Perry, a social conservative, signed a bill that limited late-term abortions and required girls under the age of 18 who procure abortions to notify their parents. Perry signed the bill in the gymnasium of Calvary Christian Academy in Fort Worth, an evangelical Christian school.
>Perry signed into law a bill requiring a sonogram and doctors explanation before granting an abortion
>In 2005, Perry signed a new law that requires minor girls to receive parental consent before getting an abortion. This law strengthens a parental notification law Perry supported as Lt. Gov. in 1999, which helped reduce teen abortions by 26 percent. Perry has also signed a ban on third trimester abortions, a ban on tax dollars being used to support abortion facilities, a prenatal protection act that protects unborn children from assault, and an informed consent law that helps expectant mothers better understand the risks and consequences of abortion. Perry supports a ban on human cloning and will veto any legislation that provides state dollars for embryonic stem cell research, a process that ends a human life. Perry urges to keep up pressure to roll back the landmark 1973 Supreme Court decision legalizing abortion until Roe v. Wade is nothing but a shameful footnote in our nations history books.
>Perry, a frequent critic of the federal government, also bashed President Barack Obama for his administrations policy allowing federal funding of embryonic stem cell research, saying he was deeply disturbed by studies that turn the remains of unborn children into nothing more than raw material.
>Perry has faulted Obama for reversing the so-called Mexico City policy that banned giving federal money to international groups that perform abortions or provide information about abortions. Obama struck down the policy during his first week in office, saying it was too broad and undermined family planning in developing countries. Under Obama our federal tax dollars can now be used to fund abortion all over the world. With the stroke of a pen, abortion essentially became a U.S. foreign export, Perry said.
IMMIGRATION:
>Perry adds immigration issues to lawmaker session Perry wants passage of a measure requiring every person arrested to be run through the federal immigration databases as part of the Secure Communities program. He also wants to provide the state Department of Public Safety with the authority to make sure someone is in the U.S. legally before issuing a drivers license.
>These measures, along with a ban on sanctuary cities, would provide a clear message that Texas will not turn a blind eye to those breaking our laws, Perry said in a statement. Texas owes it to the brave law enforcement officials, who put their lives on the line every day to protect our families and communities, to give them the discretion they need to adequately do their jobs, Perry said. http://www.rickperry.org/media-articles/perry-adds-immigration-issues-lawmakers-agenda-0?amp
>Gov. Perry has made numerous requests of the federal govt. to enforce the border in Texas including handing Pre. Obama a letter in person when he landed in Dallas last year. (Obama insults Perry when he turns away and Perry had to hand the letter on the illegals issue to presidential adviser Valerie Jarrett. Obama declined to personally accept it.)
>Gov. Perry refuses to meet/greet Obama in May 2011 at El Paso during his Texas tour.
Perry later declared, If he wanted to meet, I was in Austin.
>Perry signed into law photo ID required before voting.
WHAT have other states done?? (with the exception of AZ Ok and Ga)
What have other candidates stated that they would do?
What has Sarah stated she would do?
What is Backmanns plan?
What did Reagan do?
http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2008/jan/06/rudy-giuliani/yep-reagan-did-the-a-word/
President Ronald Reagan was the first president in history to grant amnesty to illegal aliens. On November 6, 1986, he signed into law the Immigration Reform and Control Act (IRCA) of 1986, [PUB L 99-603]. In so doing, he set a precedent whereby the United States would not seek to deport illegal aliens, but to reward their lawbreaking by granting them full citizenship.
NEWSFLASH! None of them are going to do much. We have to take the best of the lot.
CHRISTIAN RELIGIOUS BELIEFS:
In what was described as a God and country sermon at the Cornerstone church in San Antonio, attended by Perry and other mostly Republican candidates, the Rev. John Hagee stated, If you live your life and dont confess your sins to God Almighty through the authority of Christ and His blood, Im going to say this very plainly, youre going straight to hell with a nonstop ticket. Perry was asked if he agreed with those comments and said, It is my faith, and Im a believer of that.[39] Perry went on to say that there was nothing in the sermon that he took exception with. Humorist and entertainer Kinky Friedman, the Jewish independent candidate for governor in the 2006 election, said, He doesnt think very differently from the Taliban, does he? Carole Keeton Strayhorn disagreed with Perrys comments, and Democrat Chris Bell said that one who is in public office should respect people of all faiths and denominations. Conservatives then responded, arguing that Perry had a right to his religious beliefs, and that he was not disrespecting Americans of other religious convictions. While visiting Israel in August 2009, Perry gave an interview to the Jerusalem Post in which he affirmed his support for Israel from his religious background, Im a big believer that this country was given to the people of Israel a long time ago, by God, and thats ordained.
ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES:
>Perry does not believe there is valid scientific proof of anthropogenic global warming. He has said several times that there is no scientific consensus on the issue.[69] In a September 7, 2007, speech to California Republicans, Perry said, Virtually every day another scientist leaves the global warming bandwagon. ... But you wont read about that in the press because they have already invested in one side of the story.

1. Texas to Allow Regular Incandescent Bulbs Reports are the governor will sign Bill HB2510 by June 19th. Bill HB2510 allows for the manufacture and sale of incandescent light bulbs otherwise banned in federal legislation of 2007, applicable from 1 January 2012 onwards. The legality, at least in the way the proposed law is framed, has apparently been cleared with the US Attorney Generals office.
The Bill has already passed in both House and Senate with overwhelming support. While Texas has no current manufacture, relevant parties are being invited to restart it. Texas has been a leading US state in providing new local jobs, and this is seen as a further contributive measure. http://freedomlightbulb.blogspot.com/2011/06/texas-to-allow-incandescent-light-bulbs.html
2.Perry Adds TSA Anti-Groping Bill to Call http://www.texastribune.org/texas-politics/tea-party/updated-perry-adds-tsa-anti-groping-bill-to-call/ ^ Gov. Rick Perry this evening announced the addition of TSA anti-groping legislation to the agenda for the special legislative session. In a statement, he said lawmakers could consider legislation relating to the prosecution and punishment for the offense of official oppression on those seeking access to public buildings and transportation.

Rick Perry uses the Boy Scouts to draw a battle line in what he considers a culture war, defending them against the American Civil Liberties Union and what he sees as a moral struggle for the countrys future. The book also traces a 30-year history of litigation involving the Scouts most of which they won which Perry considers an attack on traditional values and faith in God. Perry targets the ACLU as the primary force behind a leftist push to accept homosexuality and challenge Scoutings duty to God. http://www.rickperry.org/media/perrys-new-book-supports-boy-scouts-attacks-aclu

PERRY TRASHING: Freepers, dont you think it more sensible to trust what the Conservative icons have to say about Perry?
>Sarah Palin threw her endorsement to Rick Perry for governor-. She recently restated that she likes Perry.
>Rush said that Perry is his dream candidate. http://gretawire.blogs.foxnews.com/rush-limbaugh-on-the-record-3/
>Ted Nugent is a close friend and supporter.
Dont you think it more sensible to trust what numerous politicians and scholars have said about Rick Perry than some haters on FR?
VISIT THIS SITE Read the official statements of dozens of Perrys fellow politicians and scholars (both Democrats and Republicans) have had to say about Rick Perry: http://www.politico.com/arena/archive/rick-perry-for-president-in-2012.html
All (including Democrat opponents) have called him a staunch Conservative, and not one of the dozens issuing opinions has mentioned the vaccine or TTC. Apparently they dont consider these things an issue. They DID mention Perry threatening to secede from the unionas a strike against him. What Perry actually said; You know, my hope is that America and Washington in particular pays attention, Perry continued. Weve got a great union. There is absolutely no reason to dissolve it. But if Washington continues to thumb their nose at the American people, you know, who knows what may come out of that? So. But Texas is a very unique place and were a pretty independent lot to boot.
The Gadasil vaccine
Dead issue.
Perry tried to force Gardisil on Texas girls?
He never tried to force it. There was an opt out. It was up to parents to choose Always.
Trans Texas Hiway?
Dead issue. If thats the worst hes done, I can live with it. I just want someone who can kick the Marxist/Muslim usurpers sorry a$$ out of our White House!!
Bilderberg member?
Dead issue. A favorite of the Perry haters. Governor Perry attended one meeting in 2007. Perry was invited to speak on States Rights and Federalism. That is the extent of it.
Many prominent Americans have attended these meeting. That does NOT mean they are members or agree with their agenda- whatever that is. Some who attended in the past: Ford, Eisenhower, Gates
Why NOT attend if invited? I would want to know what in the heck they are all about and what they are up to.
>Americans WILL get it:
>Better looking
>Better record
>Rick Perry for President.
