After all the knocks she, and the rest of her family, have taken over the past few years — Bristol has earned the right to knock back a few times.

I’ve been to that town..UGH! Almost every storefront downtown is vacant, except maybe a Dollar General.

Two wrongs don't make a right.

Standing by, while every leftist weasel and noxious moonbat attacks your family at every turn, isn't right either.

How ignorant do you have to be about customer service to be vacuuming a room at 2:30 in the morning?!!

Maybe the maid worked in a hospital in her former job where it is common practice to drop steel bed pans outside each room on the tile floor promptly at 2:30 a.m.

how is knocking a hotel in a city knocking a city? Is the writer trying to turn a OH city against Palin?

The rock group RUSH wrote about it way back in 1985:

...But he’s still heading down those tracks
Any day now for sure
Another day as drab as today
Is more than a man can endure

Dreams flow across the heartland
Feeding on the fires
Dreams transport desires
Drive you when you’re down -

Dreams transport the ones
Who need to get out of town...

It’s understood
By every single person
Who’d be elsewhere if they could
So far so good
And life’s not unpleasant
In their little neighbourhood

They dream in Middletown...

The Manchester used to be a high end hotel. Its fine dining restaurant was very nice. Middletown used to have a fair amount of business travelers because of AK Steel’s headquarters being there. Times have changed, AK corp hq left, then came back, then left again. The hotel is stuck in a very dead downtown area that is surrounded by poverty stricken neighborhoods. The former owners learned how to not spend money on updates and maintenance, but instead took advantage of city loans (almost always forgiven) and anything else they could get their hands on to stay open. I hear it has the same furnishings/decor in it that was put in back in the 1980’s. It’s a shame because when I grew up near this area, this hotel was highly regarded. Booked all year long for weddings, high school proms in the Spring, business conferences, etc. The last few years all I’ve heard is that it smells old, everything is outdated or broke or worse, fixed with duct tape.

Famous guests: JFK, Ronald Reagan, Gerald Ford, Barbara Bush, Bob Dole, The Temptations, Will Rogers, Bobby Knight, Sarah Palin, Dan Quayle, Phil Graham, Maureen Reagan, Ricky Nelson, Helen Reddy, Vincent Price, Douglas Fairbanks Jr., Pat Boone.

As far as the city name is concerned, it’s not that uncommon for nearby area locals to refer to it as Middleton, so I’m surely not going to hold it against a 19 year old who spent a whole 6 or so hours of her life at night in a hotel there.

Don’t you just love it when somebody assumes that everybody knows where their little hamlet is located. Somehow, we are supposed to know that out of the dozens of “Middletowns” throughout the country, this particular Middletown is the center of the earth.

the tabloid is in your head.

But they sure generate enough of it, don't they?

I honestly don't know what you tabloid readers find in your magazines, I believe that they pretty much write stories using names of people that are currently famous, I know they used Nancy and Ronald Reagan harshly.

Tabloids seem to mean a lot to you, are you a liberal woman?
