They did the same here starting about 1964. Go to a major library and check out the archives for anti-gun newspaper editorials, LIFE, LOOK, SATURDAY EVENING POST. Then look at the hell gun owners went through in 1968 and on.
The Arkansas Gazette had anti-gun editorials and rants about every month from 1964 till it was bought out in the 1990s.

Yep, but I do miss the pre 1968 days when you could go to just about any hardware store, gas station, clothing store, grocery, lay down your money and walk away with a nice pistol or rifle, no questions asked, even out of state.

We may never prove it but Obama’s spoor is all over the operation. The idea probably came from the oval office.
