IDF sources claimed Monday night that new intelligence information obtained by Israel in recent days shows that participants of the flotilla planning to break Israel’s sea blockade over the Gaza Strip later this week plan to kill IDF soldiers who board their ships.
According to the information obtained by the IDF, some of the participants have prepared a number of sacks with sulfur, which they plan to pour on the soldiers as they board the vessels.
“This is a chemical weapon and if poured on a soldier it can paralyze him,” an IDF source told The Jerusalem Post Monday night. “If the sulfur is then lit on fire, the soldier will light up like a torch.”

They are right. Best to just sink the flotilla and err on the safe side.
The vessels don’t have to be boarded - just sink them as they come in range ...

maybe I am stupid, but perhaps it is time for the Israelis to elect a non israeli president... If I was elected, gaza would not have a single “palistinian” living there, the so called flotilla would be “bottom to bottom”...that is, bottom of ship meeting bottom of sea...Iran would be a sheet of glass, and lebannon would be a satellite state...not to mention egypt would be on the other side of the nile...maybe the Israeli’s need to elect an old pollack like me to run their country

It’s not quite as poetic as the original, but this is not a poetry contest.
I would not be surprised to discover that Israeli operatives have already infiltrated the groups who are planning this ‘flotilla’, and are likely to be on board some or maybe even all of the ships. So, sinking them would probably be counterproductive. For all we know, the boats may already have been “boarded” before a single interception has been attempted.

They view things way too emotionally. Family members of victims are excluded from juries just because of this.

Don’t tell the leftygoobers, but sulfur is so non-toxic to humans that I routinely put some in my jeans pockets whenever I’m doing archaeological survey in brush country. It sifts through the pockets and down my legs and does a great job of repelling ticks and chiggers...

Have agents aboard disable a couple of the boats and the rest will have to tow them home.
Very expensive. Be pretty easy to disable propulsion and set them adrift.
Maybe they should use those wildeyed Whale Warrior tactics and drag some cables up around the prop or plug up their water intakes and leave em drifting at sea a few months to “think about things”.
