IDF sources claimed Monday night that new intelligence information obtained by Israel in recent days shows that participants of the flotilla planning to break Israel’s sea blockade over the Gaza Strip later this week plan to kill IDF soldiers who board their ships.
According to the information obtained by the IDF, some of the participants have prepared a number of sacks with sulfur, which they plan to pour on the soldiers as they board the vessels.
“This is a chemical weapon and if poured on a soldier it can paralyze him,” an IDF source told The Jerusalem Post Monday night. “If the sulfur is then lit on fire, the soldier will light up like a torch.”

Dumping sulfur upon personnel and lighting it on fire sounds like something Wile E. Coyote might try. Flour or sugar would serve almost equally well.

Spokeswoman Lt. Col. Avital Leibovich, Head of the Foreign Press Branch, addresses the planned flotilla which overtly declares its intention to sail to the Gaza Strip, governed by the Hamas terrorist organization.
Lt. Col. Leibovich explains that due to a vast history of smuggling weapons via the sea to terror sources who target Israeli civilians, the IDF must reserve the right to inspect every ship intending to reach the region. Failure to do so will result in the arming of Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and other terrorist organizations in Gaza. The recent interception of the Victoria ship by the IDF last March shows the attempt by Iran to arm these groups with highly sophisticated weaponry to be used against Israeli civilians.

Even kinetic mini-torpedos. Avoid the drama, just punch 4” holes in their hulls and give them other problems to worry about, but very slowly. Even better, fire prop-fouling torpedos that expel 100s of strands of Kevlar rope. Dead in the water is where the ships will be. No compelling videos of fast-roping IDF commandos. Just big boats floating nowhere on the wind and tide.
Word to the Israelis. DO NOT board ships. Disable them. What will they do if they are adrift? Make faces at you? Do not risk the lives of your soldiers, snooping and pooping aboard a floating ambush.
Put a few .50 cal rounds through the side of the boat into their engine. Run strong fishing net around their propellers. Knock a few holes in their hold below the waterline, discreetly.
And if you are going to disable those ships, be sure to hire a few neutral ships, to tow them to a neutral port. Problem solved. A few weeks in some pest hole getting their ship repaired, and most of them will be fed up with the whole idea.

Ps 83 refers to 2 Chronicles 20, the confederacy against Jehoshaphat. Those kooks are only a few thousand years off on their "prophecy". And what fool thinks that after God said that He would destroy Assyria and Philistia (see Isa 14), and indeed He has, that somehow these destroyed nations are supposed to resurrect like zombies and play any future role in world events?
