Like it or not, it cannot be denied that the three years of attacks have taken their toll. Reagan did not have a similar amount of negative opinion against him when he ran.
You have got to have been born since Reagan took office (or that time was in the mists of your youth or now lost in the mists of your senior years). You're right. Reagan didn't have a similar amount of negative opinion. Reagan had decades of negative opinion against him, much of it from mainstream Republicans.

In my opinion Sarah is right on schedule. I don't think anything is gained by joining all the toothless lightweights. She is playing the MSM like a fiddle as they have now tried every trick in the book to destroy her and have failed.
Go Sarah!

I recommend it. Both times I’ve gone, I’ve felt like I was walking back in time. My appreciation for what our forefathers experienced was overwhelming.

Younger kid and mom went on a school trip to DC and the surrounding historical sites and said it was an amazing experience. My dad’s best friend was killed in Viet Nam and they did a rubbing of his name on the DC wall and made a shadow box of it to give him as a keepsake. So much history in such a small area, I think we should all put a trip like that on our bucket lists. Maybe plan it for 2013 to bring a sign to the white house that says “Welcome Palin family! We love you!”

I think it may depend on location, because I believe that it varies from the end of June to some time in August.

You don’t know what you are talking about! Reagan was savaged well before 1980 as the man who would start WWIII if he became President and described by the media as a idiot, amicable dunce, politically lightweight and flabby on political issues and stances. He was hated by the left, the media and the Republican Establishment just like Palin
To: SamAdams76
I eat meat, I don't believe in global warning, I don't get my news from mainstream media, and I support the candidacy of Sarah Palin. Love it! Me, and millions upon millions of your neighbors agree with that sentiment.

Sarah pPalin’s Twitter message was ambiguous but clever. She tweaked the media and that is always a good thing. I’m betting that she’ll resume the bus tour when the salmon harvest is over in Alaska. If she runs, barring an announcement on the Fourth of July, I don’t expect she’ll announce her candidacy until the fall.

I like the way that sounds!

Even Reagan did get criticized for not doing anything. Even when she is not out campaigning, she is appearing in the news.
Breaking News: Sarah is doing nothing in particular!!!!!!!!Film at 11!!!!!!!!

Reagan had decades of negative opinion against him, much of it from mainstream Republicans.Yep. The term, "Voodoo Economics", or more properly, "Voodoo Economic Policy", came from everyone's favorite pappy, George H.W. Bush.

Nixon had the same amount or more “negatives”, when he ran and won.

“Even Reagan did get criticized for not doing anything”
Should read: did not get criticized....
To: aruanan
And Nixon had it worse than Reagan.........by the MSM, punditry, and no internet, cable T.V., or national talk radio shows.
To: trisham
it varies from the end of June to some time in August. That is roughly the tourist season in Alaska. Cruise and bus lines, camping outfits, fishing charters, etc.
If you have a business in Alaska that caters to tourism, you pretty much have to be there now to run it through August.

A friend and I are going on a Civil War tour this fall. We'll stop at Gettysburg, Antietam, South Mountain, Monocacy, and Harper's Ferry.
If you ever get a chance, the battlefields at Perryville, Fort Donelson and Shiloh are wonderful. Too far off the beaten path for most tourists, these battlefields are still in quite pristine condition.
