Please provide links to back up your claims and conclusions.
You state it as fact, now prove it.
You have asked me if I supported corruption because I posted a thread giving information about Rick Perry and asked the question, "How do you think this will play on the national stage."
Yet you give Sarah Palin (who I like and have posted MANY threads in the last several years supporting) a pass for supporting people you consider flawed because that's just what they do in politics.
Your argument won't hold water -- but I know you will reword it again and again to see if it does. Let me save you the time and the trouble. It won't.
I like Sarah Palin.
I like Rick Perry.
Well, Im not just trying to smear Perry, but I do know alot of people outside of Texas dont know much about him. Im just trying to get the word out that he is not what the GOP and media makes him out to be.
Is that you Kay Bailey H.?
LOL
When Sarah Palin starts coming to Free Republic and posts fawning posts about Rick Perry for President in 2012, then I’ll ask her the same question. Until then, you’re comparing apples and oranges.
I’m not necessarily for or against MB at this time, but I did a Bing search on “bachmann ethanol” and “bachmann vennes” and “bachmann carter” and found a whole slew of past articles (many from Minnesota papers) relating to each. It’s out there.
This isn’t about choosing a ‘perfect candidate’.
Agree because there isn’t one as you seemed to want to espouse. Now those you mention have their faults too. So lets see who the GOP voters choose. Then will you go along with that decision or if they don’t select your annointed one will you run off pouting?
I have done nothing to 'espouse' that.
Now those you mention have their faults too.
Everyone has faults. Not everyone tried to use the power of government to force people to use a product made by political cronies.
So lets see who the GOP voters choose.
I'll continue to give them as much information on Rick Perry as possible to make sure they are aware of his dismal record of corruption. And I'll do that whether you like it or not.
Then will you go along with that decision or if they dont select your annointed one will you run off pouting?
I see you have a reading comprehension problem which makes this conversation more difficult. I have not 'annointed' anyone. I listed several candidates, which make up most of the GOP field and gave my preference. I'd repeat what I posted before, but I have a strange feeling that my time is wasted on you.
Nice try.
No cigar.
Do you realize how many people back 36 years ago voted for Carter that are now strong conservatives? My husband voted for Carter and he is now a very strong conservatve.
People always say that conservatives are ex liberals who actually grew up.
This is the way I see it, minus Cain. Cain needs to actually win a couple local or state elections first before he can mount a serious presidential bid. Yeah, he will continue to be something of a grass roots hero, but Cain's too much of a gaffe machine, won't hold up to scrutiny and has no chance of winning over any part of the more cautious wing of the party which a front runner will eventually need to do like it or not.
Palin I think is the natural best choice, but if she doesn't run I think your left with Perry and Bachmann as the conservative anti-Romney's. I've tried to give Pawlenty a chance, but he's just not getting it done so far.
If Palin enters the race as I hope she does I think she'd win, but without her I think your left with Bachmann or Perry (assuming he does run). Both can raise a lot of money, but Perry probably has more crossover appeal and as a current governor and leader of the RGA he will instantly have a lot of powerful backers.
Taking it one step further. If either Palin or Bachmann win the nomination, I can see them picking Perry as a running mate. If Perry wins the nomination, I bet he'd pick Rubio.
LOL!! Funny!
I see where Perry just vetoed the Texting bill along with 22 others, ‘over reaching’ I believe he called it.
Wall Street Journal editorial:
Rick Perry’s First 100 Days.
If he gets into the race, Gov. Perry will be offering the Texas model of economic growth to a nationwide audience.

“he suggested shuttering the federal departments of energy and education
The Lone Star State still has no income tax, and Mr. Perry and his famous predecessor have enacted a series of measures to combat junk lawsuits that have made Texas a magnet for doctors and businesses. No coincidence, Texas is the undisputed national champ when it comes to job creation, with 254,000 jobs created in the last year and more than a third of the country’s new jobs since the end of the recession in 2009.
Mr. Perry said that assuming a GOP victory over President Obama and a Republican takeover of the Senate, the first item of business would be a repeal of ObamaCare “in totality, and a great sigh of relief would be heard across this country.” Next up would be spending cuts, and eliminating the two cabinet departments could be just the beginning. “
That sounds pretty good to me.
Remember Pelosi and her, “Well go through the gate. If the gates closed, well go over the fence. If the fence is too high, well pole-vault in. If that doesnt work, well parachute in.”?
Well, I’ll enjoy watching that all thrown back in her face.
What I would like to know is whom will p_r_s vote for in the primary and the general.
p_r_s — so you don’t like Perry, whom do you like?
If it’s Sarah, who is your choice if she doesn’t run?
