No GOP candidate could have beaten Obama in 2008. The public did not want a third Bush term and McCain was a terrible candidate, which just made the loss that much worse. The 2006 midterms were the harbinger of what happened in 2008. I hope the same holds true for the results of 2010.

Jacob Schiff = Wall Street. Yeah, that’s the ticket.

Jacob Schiff = prominent Wall Street bankster and fincancier of the Bolshivik Revolution.

His successors are more powerful and more criminal than ever. You okay with that?

From his base on Wall Street, he was the foremost Jewish leader from 1880 to 1920 in what later became known as the "Schiff era", grappling with all major Jewish issues and problems of the day, including the plight of Russian Jews under the Tsar, American and international anti-semitism, care of needy Jewish immigrants, and the rise of Zionism.

During the Russo-Japanese War, in 1904 and 1905, in perhaps his most famous financial action, Schiff, again through Kuhn, Loeb & Co., extended a critical series of loans to the Empire of Japan, in the amount of $200 million. He was willing to extend this loan due, in part, to his belief that gold is not as important as national effort and desire, in helping win a war, and due to the apparent underdog status of Japan at the time; no European nation had yet been defeated by a non-European nation in a modern, full-scale war. It is quite likely Schiff also saw this loan as a means of avenging, on behalf of the Jewish people, the anti-Semitic actions of the Tsarist regime, specifically the then-recent pogroms in Kishinev.

This loan attracted worldwide attention, and had major consequences. Japan won the war, thanks in large part to the purchase of munitions made possible by Schiff's loan. Some within the Japanese leadership took this as evidence of the power of Jews all around the world, of their loyalty to one another, and as proof of the truth of the Protocols of the Elders of Zion. In 1905, Schiff was awarded the Japanese Order of the Sacred Treasure; in 1907 he was honored with the Japanese Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Star, which represents the second highest of eight classes associated with the award. Schiff was the first foreigner to have been personally awarded the Order by Emperor Meiji in the Imperial Palace.

Schiff always felt strongly about his connection to the Jewish people, and demonstrated this through his philanthropy. He supported relief efforts for the victims of pogroms in Russia, and helped establish and develop Hebrew Union College, the Jewish Theological Seminary, the Jewish Division in the New York Public Library, and the American Jewish Committee. However, he also financed many major American projects, believing strongly in the need to further develop and bring together the U.S.

Schiff grew to be one of American Jewry's top philanthropists and leaders, donating to nearly every major Jewish cause, New York examples being the Montefiore Home for Chronic Invalids, of which he was president, the Young Men's Hebrew Association building and the Jewish Theological Seminary.

His successors are more powerful and more criminal than ever. You okay with that?

So are you talking about all Wall Street Jews, or just a few of them? Be specific about exactly who on Wall Street today are Schiff's successors.

Since you have acknowledged the essential role of Wall Street banksters in launching Bolshevism, I trust that you will no longer characterize all criticism of Wall Street corruption as Marxist.

Schiff's successors are those banksters of whatever background who promote Marxism, including the dominant cultural variety of today, and undermine legitimate government, especially our own. Obama's largest contributor was Goldman Sachs of Wall Street. Their investment return was trillions in taxpayer money. RINOs are not much better.

You said that you were Tea Party, Banksters have purchased our government. This is the kind of establishment corruption that the Tea Party was formed to root out.

Schiff's involvement had nothing to do with Wall Street, but rather his personal beliefs. It really isn't relevant what the source of his money was. You can't indict "Wall Street" for "launching Bolshevism."

Pure nonsense. Absolutely meaningless.

You said that you were Tea Party, Banksters have purchased our government. This is the kind of establishment corruption that the Tea Party was formed to root out.

The Tea Party supports capitalism, not the welfare state. Smaller government and individual liberty. The problem is that we have political elites who are disconnected from the people. Blaming it all on the rich and bankers is just part of the class warfare spouted by the Left.

If you think it is meaningless that Goldman Sachs’ million dollar donation to Obama was rewarded with trillion dollar bailouts, I can hardly count you as Tea Party in any meaningful sense of the word. Good day.

It was under Bush that the $700 Billion TARP was approved. Bush spent $350 billion of it. Goldman gots its money thru AIG. All of this happened in 2008 with Hank Paulson handing out the money. Facts are stubborn things. Peddle your anti-semitic nonsense somewhere else.

The massively corrupt bailout of AIG under Obama was the bailout of Goldman Sachs. You are smearing me because you think that the ethnic-sounding name of Goldman Sachs should exempt them from criticism? Again, not very Tea Party.

The bailout was under Bush not Obama. Goldman Sachs Can't Say It Didn't Get Bailed Out Anymore -- It Kept Billions From AIG

Yeah it was just a coincidence that you used Jakob Heinrich Schiff, foremost Jewish leader from 1880 to 1920 in what later became known as the "Schiff era", as the poster boy for Wall Street corruption. It fits the Lefty stereotype of the "Jews" controlling the banks and US foreign policy. You aren't fooling anyone.

So you figured that I tricked you into calling me Marxist for criticizing Wall Street just so I could respond that Wall Street bigwig Jakob Schiff financed the Bolsheviks because I was wanted to advance Lefty conspiracy theories. Dang! Nothing gets by you.

Why can’t you just accept that Wall Street has crooks just like Main Street and that these crooks can be prosecuted just like the ones on Main Street? Stop making everything into an ideological litmus test and stop finding bogeymen behind every closet door. Wall Street is not exempt from criticism, even among conservatives.

Another phony strawman. There are crooks everywhere. I just don't blame Wall Street for our current economic problems. You do.

LOL. That is called projection. You seem to believe that Wall Street is the bogeyman.

You use a strawman to accuse me of using a strawman and you project to accuse me of projection.

I never said that all of Wall Street for our problems, but said that the crooks on Wall Street should be prosecuted like crooks anywhere else. You have been delving for nefarious purposes in going after crooks who broke the laws.
