Now I lay me down to sleep,
I pray the Lord my soul to keep,
If I die before I wake,
I pray the Lord my soul to take.

Not sure about the incline, but anyone who suffers from acid reflux might benefit for sure.
For anyone with trouble sleeping (or waking at night and have trouble falling back to sleep), I HIGHLY recommend you try a noise machine. You may solve your problem (like I did) with an investment of about $30 or so.

Indoors: papasan chair
Outdoors: hammock
Water: a big old inner tube
No bed can compete with any of ‘em!

Almost fell asleep reading the article. ....sitting up, which would've been healthy according to this research.
I try to sleep on my back with my head a bit raised, but usually end up flat on my stomach with my head on the mattress. A hard-to-break habit. I find that when I wake up on my back with my head on at least two pillows I feel a lot better.

Wow. Thanks for posting. Sadly, very timely for me.
Now, how do I explain this to the Chief Of Staff?

"How do you keep from slipping to the foot of the bed?" From Article:"Others may have some neck and shoulder discomfort from the new position. However, by experimenting with pillows under the arms, underneath the buttocks (which prevents sliding down the bed), and under the feet and legs, the patient should find a comfortable solution."
Would you believe I read the whole thing. Blury eyes now.

I cured myself of severe sleep apnea by basically learning to sleep sort of sitting up.
After a hideous episode, I’d fall asleep while sitting up because I’d be afraid to go back to sleep. After a couple of years (!) it dawned on me that I never had a hideous episode when I was sleeping sitting up, pretty much a 45 degree angle, not 90 or any such extreme.
No surgery, no drugs, no mask. Just sleeping like I am in a recliner; no apnea. Thank God.

If it were my dog, for his own safety, hed be sleeping on the floor. Im all over the place at night. I know Ive punted the cat out of bed a few times too. I'm the same way. Hubby refers to it as "aerobic sleeping".
