The Kennedys are mostly dead, save for Patches and RFK Jr., both trust fund nutjobs, and are done in this country as a political force. Good for her for trying to embarrass Arnie as much as she can.
Arnold is a creep. Maria is a Kennedy - she appeals for privacy and three days later goes on Oprah.
It would've been as bad or worse. The legislature was and is the problem.

I’m not sure, but I think that they have 4 children, two that are older than 18, but I think that they two that are still school age. The older two gave statements of support for both parents. The other two have been kept off the news.
No matter what, it’s not good for the kids. I understand her frustration and anger, though. I don’t think that it was so much that he fooled around with the maid as that they had a kid and the woman had been around the house, all that time, right under her nose.
There is a saying: Three can keep a secret if two of them are dead. Once a few people know about something, it's going to come out. If Shriver felt that it was better to control the release after letting her kids know, who is to say she is wrong?
Neither Shriver nor the children caused this mess and none of them have an obligation to pretend that Schwarzenegger is a good father, a good husband or a good person.
On top of all that, Schwarzenegger and Shriver have four kids: the oldest is 21, the youngest in his teens You make a huge assumption that they didn't know or suspect something was going one when their dad was spending so much time with this woman and her child.
Put the blame where it belongs: on the cheaters, the adulterers and the liars, Schwarzenegger & the other woman.

Who ruined whom? Maria? Maria ruined the kids lives? hmmm. I guess I don’t get it.
The money trail and extramarital children outside of the family, and the family fortune/trust, AFFECT THE SCHWARZENEGGER CHILDREN. Maria may sue on behalf of her four children. What Arnold may have spent paying off other women and any other children directly affects this kids.
She may sue to redeem that money in order to place it in the trust arrangement for their children. They were betrayed as well as their mother.
Fine, let her sue. Who is releasing what to the press?
Arnold admitted fault and then shut up. She should do the same and then can let the lawyers work it out.

This was, I believe, a revelation by way of a “leak” from which she would not benefit. And it may not even be true.
I’m just guessing that if it is true there are reasons to explore for such actions. I can’t imagine it’s true that she tipped off the media. Maybe she did, but they had been stuffing the story for some time it seems to me.
But yes, of course, kids of two media profiles like Maria and Arnold do suffer high profile disintegration in a nasty media world.

I’m not thrilled to be defending a Kennedy clanswoman, but folks here are trying to make her out to be Medea, sacrificing her own kids for vengeance against a cheating husband.
There’s no evidence whatsoever of equivalence, no hint of adultery by her.
His behavior is indefensible. Why would anyone attack her instead? What did she do besides marry him (rather than cohabit without matrimony) and have four kids (rather than 4 abortions)?
Or do liberal women, just because they’re politically stupid, deserve whatever befalls them?
Or rich women?
Or maybe just women? WTH?
