I bet Maria wanted the reason for the divorce to be out in the open, and wanted to be the “good guy”, and get public sympathy. She didn’t want to leave Arnold for no apparent reason. She wanted the world to know the situation. She wanted him to pay, at least in the court of public opinion, for what he did.
Yeah, she wanted it out. In her vengeance, she will poison her own children with him.
Awnowd's behavior was beyond sleazy. All those years of banging the housekeeper in their house. Reminds me of the line from the Godfather:
"IN MY HOME! IN MY BEDROOM WHERE MY WIFE SLEEPS! Where my children come and play with their toys. In my home."
Arnolds behavior seemingly did not surprise anyone in Southern CA. It wouldn’t surprise folks who had followed Arnold in his pre-Pumping Iron lifestyle.
His kids would have been pretty inoculated being kids of Hollywood and Hyannis.
None of this is very interesting.
And adopt the more nuanced French approach to these things as evidenced by the French media coverage of the DSK affair.
I am not so sure I agree with that.
If she had any it would certainly weaken her case against Arnie.

I would agree she should not have gone to the press. Realistically, however, this is not something they could keep from the kids for the long haul. They perceive a lot more than adults think.
with a philandering sperminator on one side and a backstabbing media leech on the other, this was truly a marriage made in h-e-double hockey sticks.
The true horror being the propensity of the electorate to keep placing this type of trash in public office.
I’ve got a feeling Maria is gonna make sure his life is hell while she plays the role of hapless victim.
Personally, I despise them both.
Arnold had a whole stable of hags ...probably has four or five more ugly kids roaming around...they will all have slots on celebrity rehab...
Sad. I read way back when Jackie O was working as a book editor in NYC that she had a stint reviewing the Pumping Iron manuscript, and she introduced Maria to Arnold.

You'd think being married to the reprehensible, amoral JFK, that Bouvier would have had an accurate nose for narcissistic, serial womanizing scum.
Then too, maybe the thrill of being married to a celebrity trumps all in the rarefied air of the blue bloods....
