Obama on Wrong Side of Honduras Dispute, GOP Lawmaker Warns (what else is new)

An agreement signed in Colombia this week allowing the ousted former Honduran president, Manuel Zelaya, to return home and resume political activity without fear of prosecution marks “a great day” for the Honduran people, according to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

But in the view of Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, the accord sets the stage for Zelaya and his leftist ally, Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, to further damage democracy in the small Central American country.

“Hugo Chavez’s handprints are all over this deal,” Ros-Lehtinen said in a statement. “He can’t wait to have Zelaya back in Honduras so he can begin pulling the strings again and undermine that nation’s democracy.”

Clinton, by contrast, said on Monday that the U.S. “commends” the Chavez regime for its role in securing the agreement.

Bambi has promoted Chavez into being the regional leader for Latin America. He’s doing the same with Adhmadinejad and Iran in the Middle East.

I saw a photo of Chavez (whose own country is on the verge of food riots, since in only a few short years he has taken it from a huge exporter of food to a place that now has to import everything and can’t afford it) swanning around at some meeting in Latin America, and it’s clear that he sees himself as the new leader of the region.

I once read that first rate people surround themselves with other first rate people, whereas second rate people surround themselves with third rate people.

When we first read of this yesterday here at FR my wife and myself commented that it appeared to have the handprints of Obama, and Hillary all over it.

Today we read: "“Hugo Chavez’s handprints are all over this deal,” Ros-Lehtinen said in a statement. “He can’t wait to have Zelaya back in Honduras so he can begin pulling the strings again and undermine that nation’s democracy.”

Clinton, by contrast, said on Monday that the U.S. “commends” the Chavez regime for its role in securing the agreement."

We still believe that if nothing else it was a wink and a nod to Chavez from Obama, and Hillary.

Looks like Hussein and Hillary probably read that book Chavez gave the former during their last visit — the one that assails the U.S. for its longstanding opposition to socialists in Latin America — and have taken it to their black commie hearts.

Obama, the Clintons, and other post-Soviet Communists all share a fundamental attitude. Of course they can see that the Soviet Model failed. So the blame is placed on the Russians! Obviously, they were not smart or well-organized enough to make it work. Out with the Soviet Model, in with the CHICOM Model.

Now, their reasoning goes, if GERMANS had been in charge of World Communism, it would have worked like a charm. Which was always the real East German belief. German theory, plus CHICOM practicality, and voilá, Communism will be revived and become a successful world model! Obama for example, has heavy German connections through his sister Auma and Raila Odinga, both educated in Germany, Odinga as a "TRUE" Communist.

They are determined to have another go at World Communism.

I think Hussein and Hillary have been on that course for a long time. Bambi’s initial public enthusiasm over Chavez backfired, since Chavez is not popular here, so he has now gone to more covert ways of supporting him, mostly through Hillary and our obvious intention to hand over regional leadership to Chavez (who also has strong ties to Iran).

It’s true that nobody around Obama is exactly a first-rate person. But what he surrounds himself with are ideologues. Ideology makes up for intelligence, and that’s all any dictator wants, anyway: personally loyal ideologues.

That’s true, but this is Communism with a Third World flavor, and I think we have to bear that in mind when considering Obama’s latest lunacy.

He sees himself as the Socialist Third World Avenger, and he is essentially trying to hand off power from the West to this collection of dysfunctional Third World Marxist countries, particularly favoring the Muslim countries or those with close ties to Muslim countries (remember, all of the Communist/Socialist Latin American countries have cultivated connections with Iran and other ME extremist countries, and the leftists in their governments also have a long track record of supporting the “Palestinians”).

Why? Zelaya and his party are greatly weakend and offers no real threat for a couple of years. They want to rejoin the OAS, giving them a public platform to express their political needs and they know that they only have to wait 17 months before the GOP controls both the House and Senate and less than 18 months before Obama is removed from office!

As a result of Zelaya's being given the boot, there have been severe trade restrictions placed on them by the U.S. and the communist countries of the OAS. It's called "Economic Extortion" and they've been suffering severely because of it.......They had no choice.

Crime has been escalating rapidly as well as drug trafficking. That, along with the return of Zelaya and his commie followers, with the aid of Chavez, will lay the ground work for a future take over by the communists there.

The only saving grace is the fact that the majority of the people know what Zelaya represents and they reject him. However, it's the rabble rousers within the ranks of the impoverished who are going to cause major civil unrest.....
