Man, I love that pic of P.H....
“Id give her any role she wanted!”....
A role for a roll?......
She’s been the lead actress in not one but three broadcast network sitcoms:
“Everybody Loves Raymond” was a ginormous worldwide hit.
“Back to You” tanked, but that was no conspiracy — America voted with their remotes.
“The Middle” is a solid double and will be on the air for four or five years, at least.
I’d love to know what roles she was denied because of her politics.
Why not?!
No doubt this will continue to happen, for too many Americans flock to see liberal entertainers.
It’s a classic dumbed-down shortcut the Left has promulgated for decades to lump EVERYthing that happened in the 10 years following ww2 all together into one goopy mash.
Red Channels, Joe McCarthy, blacklisting, HUAC, etc etc.
In fact none of them had much to do with one another. Linking McCarthy and his “-ism” to any of the others is just a way of further stigmatizing what he was trying to bring to the attention of America, and diluting its credibility.
Anyone who saw a “henpecked husband emasculated by his wife” was not watching the show.
It was a wife frustrated by the “Momma’s boy” attitude of a husband who couldn’t stand up to anyone. It was Marie who emasculated Ray, not Debra. Debra wanted Ray to be a man and take his role as Father and Husband seriously.
I think you missed the WHOLE point of ELR, a consistently fine show.
"We know for a fact there are some people who have said they wouldn't want to work with us because of our politics," she said, with her husband David Hunt adding, "We get lumped in with lunatics."
Sorry, Patricia, you lose me right there. Do you agree with your husband, that anyone who does not say OK to homosexual marriage is a lunatic?
That is apparently a matter of some controversy...
Her husband said those who oppose gay rights are lunatics.
So, to her and her husband I guess it’s okay to discriminate against those who are “too” conservative.
Well, God opposes homosexual relationships including homosexual "marriage".
If God calls it an abomination, then I will follow His wise advice. He is ALWAYS right and perfect.
She has her own show every wednesday.
You mean Hollywood is intolerant and biased?
WOW - shocker!!!
What does my comment have to do with being white or male? It has to do with Hollywood constantly making husbands and father figures look like idiots. Funny at times to be sure(see Homer Simpson) but might there be a motive for that? That was my point.
Btw I do enjoy the older brother, Robert, especially when he goes off on a tirade—which is often. :)
I used to like The Middle. But that obnoxious smart a$$ son “Axl” is more than I can take. They need to send him off to college like they did with “Richy Cunningham’s” big brother.
“Patricia Heaton and Ray Romano perpetuated the henpecked husband emasculated by his wife stereotype that Hollywood has shoved down our throats for decades in order to destroy the family unit. She took the huge paychecks and fame that went with it and is now complaining.”
I think this is the wrong take. From my thoughts on the show, she was always trying to get Ray to man up, be it his mother or kids. He is the typical metrosexual, lazy, chauvenistic, male stereotype. I have always said the reason why turned that show off was because I could not stand to watch a man embarrass the rest of manhood. I know it was only a tv show, but culterally representative of the early boomer/late gen X male.
She had a non-comedy role in “The Path to 911.”
Patricia played the U.S. Ambassador to Yemen....
she played a bitchy and jaded ambassador. Must have been a Clinton appointee....
