Two men from East Elmhurst, Queens have been arrested and charged with plotting to blow up a Manhattan synagogue.
Mayor Michael Bloomberg was joined by top city law enforcement officials at City Hall earlier today in announcing the arrests of Ahmed Ferhani, 26, and Mohamed Mamdouh, 20.
Ferhani, who is from Algeria, and Mamdouh, was is from Morocco, are both charged with engaging in terrorism, weapons possession and hate crimes.
An arraignment is expected later today.
Police Commissioner Ray Kelly says the men told undercover officers that they hated Jews and wanted to kill them. He also says they had already secured two .380 handguns, one 9mm gun, a grenade and 100 rounds of ammunition, and were seeking to purchase more. Kelly said Ferhani said he wanted to blow up a synagogue in Manhattan.

Federal law enforcement would normally be involved in a terror case, but has declined to get involved.
The targets were only Jews and Obama's religion says that bombing them is okay. And Holder does not care because the victims are white so there is no real foul,. Not, at least, of "Holder's people".

I’d be happy to hear we are prosecuting the laws we have. I just read the other day a guy got 15 years to life for a home invasion where a kid got killed - he wasn’t the shooter. The shooter got 30 years to life. WTF? They neither one of em should ever see the light of day and the shooter should be executed for sure. These two could be walking around again in a few years.

Bad actors alright , but rank amateurs: the only weapons they were able to procure were from the police. Any teenage gang member in Queens can obtain all the firepower he wants without having to resort to undercover cops. Look for the defense to claim entrapment. Without the informant, they were guilty only of hatred, not a rare offense in their community.
