Osama Bin Laden Son Missing From SEAL Raid, Pakistan Says
ABC News ^ | 05/10/11 | Jim Sciuotto

One of Osama bin Laden's sons went missing in the midst of the Navy SEAL raid that took the life of the al Qaeda leader more than a week ago, Pakistani security officials told ABC News today.

The officials said bin Laden's three wives, who are all in Pakistani custody, said that one of bin Laden's sons has not been seen since the raid. The son has not been identified, but Pakistani investigators agreed that it appeared someone was missing from the sprawling compound, the officials said.

U.S. officials said that one of bin Laden's sons, Khalid, was killed in the raid. It is not known if another son, Hamza, was in the compound at the time of the raid, though his mother is reportedly one of the wives in custody. The U.S. has denied the SEALs took anyone from the compound other than bin Laden's body.

The U.S. initially faced resistance from Pakistani authorities when investigators asked for access to bin Laden's widows, but a U.S. official said Monday Pakistani official promised to make the meeting happen sometime soon. One senior Pakistani security official told ABC News there is still no timeframe for that meeting, however.

Bin Laden, who was married five times, is survived by at least 18 children. None of the sons, however, are in line to succeed their father for leadership of al Qaeda.

"Unlike a lot of Arab governments that are dynastic," said former White House counterterrorism advisor Richard Clarke, now an ABC News consultant, "al Qaeda has not been and his sons have never played a real operational role of any significance. They did not appear to be groomed for leadership roles in al Qaeda."

He probably wet himself and is still curled up in the fetal position sucking his thumb somewhere.

Good. I hope they interrogate him to death. After they get every ounce of intel, sentence him to death by Scaphism

I seem to remember first reports saying that at least one man at bin Laden's compound was handcuffed and "thrown" into one of the SEALs' helicopters.

In this case lose the honey and insects. Use buttered corn and substitute the pond with a hog wallow.

Interesting that the Pakis seem to know who was in the compound at the time of the raid. As Oberfeldwebel Schultz was wont to say: “I know NOTHINK”

The article says he is survived by 18 children. A few years ago, they said he had over 57 children. I’d say the survival rate for a terrorist papa isn’t very good.

How does Pockistan know? Was the son handcuffed and left behind?
Or was the son hiding and then turned himself over to the Pakis?

calling BS on Pakistan on this

It was OBL’s father who had 57 children. The wicked flourish.

Nope, we are better than that. A military tribunal followed by a hangman’s noose or a firing squad is good enough for anyone caught alive, no need for anything else.

I would go out on a limb and guess that the wived knew the truth. Whether they are telling the truth or not, our trusted allies (bumbling fools, but of course we believe them when they say they knew nothing in advance) have an information source that could answer that question.

Perhaps Khalid is undergoing enhanced interrogation techniques by Barney Fwanks.

First off if we took him there is no chance that Obama would not have spiked that football.
All along i believed there had to be tunnels out. Its practically inconceivable that there was no way to escape from the compound.
For all we know several people could have escaped. And before anyone asks why didn’t the big rat scurry away as well just think. He stayed and that meant no further search that night. He stayed his son (at least a son, maybe a few) got away.

I see your point, that the wives could have told the Pockis a son escaped.
I wonder if he dressed up as a woman. I can’t see tghe SEALS missing someone.
