U.S. intelligence is now in possession of a veritable "playbook" of al Qaeda operations -- from potential terror attack targets to information on international safe houses and top commanders -- thanks to the Navy SEAL raid that took down Osama bin Laden Sunday, officials told ABC News today.
The cache of electronic and handwritten materials obtained by the SEALs includes numerous hallmark al Qaeda plots including attacks on infrastructure targets such as water supply and transportation including rail and air, in what one official described as a "strategic guide for how to attack the U.S." In the past, al Qaeda planned for attacks on water supplies have included an interest in mining dams and in poisoning water supply. Intelligence experts have also have found what appears to be information about safe houses around the world and about al Qaeda leadership.

Loose lips sink ships. And they allow terror networks time to hide. I can’t believe information like this would be leaking out.
Of course, I can’t believe much of anything about this bunch of yahoos who are supposedly in charge.
I’d like to see them release the safe house addresses.
We could put thousands of eyes on these mosques and gathering places.
My guess - they DIDN'T get the information referred to in the article, but they want them to think we did.

There is nothing ground breaking in what they released.
The juicy stuff is the locations of the safehouses, contacts, Al-queda member names, financiers, governments involved. I don’t think that’s going up on any billboards anytime soon.
I’m thinking that a better strategy would have been to torch Osama’s crib and claim that is was booby-trapped. And say that one burned laptop and a melted thumbdrive were recovered in the hopes of retrieving useful information from them to make it sound plausible, and keep the terrorists guessing.

The ants are scattering. This whole deal should have been kept totally silent for 5 - 10 days until they fully leveraged the intel they grabbed up in Pak. We should have told Pak to shutup for two weeks and we won’t blame you for hiding OBL. Had they done so, we could have been rid of multiple AQ targets all over the globe. Obambi could barely find the nerve to consent to go after one OBL.
