Revolution and Resurrection Stalk Berkeley's First Congo after Osama Killing
Berkeley Daily Planet ^ | 5/4/11 | Becky O'Malley, Editor

There was a message on my machine on Monday: “I’m just sort of stunned by the news, and I wouldn’t mind having a friend’s take on it. I feel some…relief, frankly.”

Well, yes. Full confession: I haven’t gotten back to her yet, because I don’t know exactly what to say. I find myself having heretical ideas, hard to process, harder to disclose.

. . .
Radical idea: maybe if G.W.B. had simply ordered the assassination of Saddam Hussein in 2002, how many lives, both American and Iraqi, both combatant and civilian, might have been saved?

And extrapolating from that heterodox thought: what if the inept Bush administration had been able to find and assassinate Osama bin Laden right after 9/11/2001? Could we have avoided the pointless and costly wars in Iraq and Afghanistan altogether? And now that he’s finally dead, could that enable the Americans to withdraw from Afghanistan?

Just sayin’…

I read the whole thing, so you don't have to. It's an incoherent rant about many things, but then, consider the source.

But in answer to her question, IF President Bush had ordered the assassination of Saddam Hussein, she, and all of the left-wing moonbats in places like Sanctuary Francisco and Beserkeley would have been clamoring for a war-crimes trial for the president. But now that the Chosen one has endorsed assassinations, it's all OK.

I read the whole thing anyway.

And, having lived in the SF Bay Area myself for ten years, I just knew that the author looked precisely like she appears in the photo of her below without even having to check... which I also did anyway:

And no, she's not the thinner one in the back with the 'Manson Family' look about her.

“Berkeley Daily Planet”; which universe is that in? Surely not ours!

No lives would have been saved, when the Sunnis and Shiites were not killing each other they were killing Americans and Al Queida was killing everybody.

No, unfortunately things aren’t that simple. The Taliban has to be extreminated both in Afghanistan and Pakistan before we can call the job finished. Otherwise, they will just cause us problems at a later date.
