Marines Get Training on Accepting Gay Recruits
The Blaze ^ | 28 Apr 2011 | Jonathon M. Seidl

If a Marine spots two men in his battalion kissing off-duty at a shopping mall, he should react as if he were seeing a man and woman. If he turns on the television news to see a fellow Marine dressed as a civilian and marching in a parade with a banner that reads, "Support Gays and Lesbians in the Military!" he should accept it as a free right of expression.

Prescriptions for those possible scenarios are being played out at Marine bases as the military prepares to allow gays to openly serve, ending a 17-year-old policy commonly known as "don't ask, don't tell." Training for the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines began early this year and is expected to finish by summer's end. The repeal goes into effect 60 days after the president, defense secretary and chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff certify that lifting the ban won‘t hurt the military's ability to fight.

"These changes are about policy," states briefing material for Marine instructors. "The policy is about adherence to orders and behavior, and not about beliefs."

The latest round of training material asks Marines to consider their reactions to a wide range of scenarios, from seeing a member "hanging around" a gay bar to hearing locker-room jokes from others who refuse to shower in front of gays. Members of the 1st Marine Logistics Group report to class Thursday at Camp Pendleton.

There is nothing wrong with "hanging around" a gay bar, the materials state. The officer who witnesses the loud locker-room banter aimed at gays and lesbians should remind the Marines any discrimination or harassment is inappropriate.

"Marines Get Training on Accepting Gay Recruits"

Marines should not be forced to be on the receiving end like that.

Voinovich voted for repeal, so that the Democrats wouldn’t make him cry.

Burr’s yes vote is taken by me as being indicative of the purpling of North Carolina.

Getting close to having completed 5 of 8 on a direct commission guard contract. Haven’t accepted any bonuses, repayments, or anything outside of straight pay for drill. This DADT business really has me annoyed. I do not voluntarily associate with organizations that celebrate homosexuality. Is resignation on moral grounds a possibility somehow?

I did not sign up for a gay military.

and how does the Marine react if he sees an out of the closet Gay Marine eyeing his privates in their shared shower area?

They Who Know What’s Best for Us (TM) never seem to think about the various economic and, in this case, CULTURAL ramifications of their policies.

I wonder what would happen, should HIV find its way in amongst the homosexual soldiers.

Thank you for protecting and defending us, by the way.

As much as I hate to say this:
It is time for all good servicemen NOT to re-enlist. Of course the regime may seek to circumvent this by stop loss orders, and then giving dishonorable discharges to all those even suspected of dissenting (a rather mild version of what Stalin did to the Red Army). The next conflict the US would get in to will involve servicepersons who are not worth a damn on the battlefield, but parrot all the right political lines. And it will be bloody.

I hate to say this but when do we say we don’t want the military on school campuses trying to recruit our kids??? Do we go to this extreme?

>>> I wonder if we will see an increase in “blanket parties”

If so I expect we’ll see a corresponding increase in court-martials, dishonorable discharges, and sentences of years in military prisons. Which is precisely where someone who assaults a fellow Marine belongs. The problem would solve itself.

Why do some people expect Marines to be criminals, or simply lack discipline.

The very fact anybody has to take lessons on how to treat a homosexual should tell ya something!

Now they need to have homosexuals take lessons on how to keep their eyes front while showering with our guys....how to ignore what they might perceive as an invitation when in fact one was simply blowing their nose...etc etc.etc.

Fair is fair....make them take lessons as well.

So when does the recruiting office set up in the Castro district?
I see repeats of the recent Baltimore McDonalds beat down occurring on a regular basis.
I foresee an increase in marines and sailors being lost at sea.
I for see training accidents increasing.

If Zero continues this path, all the competent people will be run off and replaced by politically reliable types. That would be a disaster. I would encourage people to join the military once the leftist idealogues are no longer in charge.
With the Regime’s current path, any decent person in the military is going to either be looking for the nearest exit (not re-enlist), or is going to get hit with a dishonorable or general discharge due to not accepting “diversity”. All this is according to plan, and has been going on even during the GWB administration, however there I give the “credit” to the Clinton appointees since that time flag ranks have been more becoming political appointments(not meant as Bush-bashing). What is happening to our military now is what Stalin did to the Soviet military before WW2 - except it’s been done without the GULAGs and the firing squads. If this social engineering in the military continues (in the 30’s it was “creating the new Soviet man”, do we call it now “creating the new tolerant diversity metrosexual being”?), there will be that one war that will be messy. From that where does this country go?

We are already at the point where officers and enlisted are afraid to report radical islamist sleeper agents like Major Nidal of Fort Hood, because of the potential of being accused of being intolerant insensitive racist bigots.
