Skip to comments.Video: Allen West townhall on GOP budget turns rowdy. 'You're not going to intimidate me'

The left will have to do better than this. Not only is West predictably unperturbed by the heckling but the crowd is overwhelmingly on his side. You’d think progressives would be out in force to try to embarrass a tea-party all-star, but no. In fact, see the woman being hauled away by security at the end? That’s Nicole Sandler, formerly of … Air America. When the big dissident presence at a rally is a host from a defunct radio network, you’ve got yourself an optics problem.
Read this Andrew Stiles post at NRO arguing that the public might be more open to Ryan’s budget than conservatives fear. It’s not that they’re suddenly gung ho for Medicare reform — even Boehner’s worried enough about that to have told ABC he’s “not wedded” to Ryan’s plan if a better one comes along — but they are starting to absorb the fact that entitlement spending at current levels means a fiscal crisis soon. Fully 67 percent expect it to hit within the next 10 years, thanks no doubt to growing awareness about the strain from Baby Boomer enrollment. This likely won’t be the last clip we see of a Republican with the crowd heavily behind him. Click the image to watch.
THIS IS THE TYPE OF REPUBLICAN WE NEED!!!
P.S. : Why are libtard women soooooooo fugly and obnoxious?
One warrior-statesman in a Congress of 535. The remaining 534...mostly dhimmis, dummies, elitists, collectivists, confused, compromised and corrupt. Woe is us.
HOORAY Allen West!
This man stands out as the only principled and articulate presidential contender thus far.
Looks like big mouthed Wisconsin union goon-type agitator plants. Congressman West is taking flak because he is right over the target. The leftists must be terrified of him.
And why are ugly lib-women so hell-bent in favor of abortion? It's not like they have any guy out there willing to get them pregnant.
RE: This man stands out as the only principled and articulate presidential contender thus far.
Presidential Contender? I must have missed the news... the man just got elected to Congress.
Oh, you KNOW they’re terrified.
LOL!!! Good point.
EVERYONE now refers to the GOP as a gang of gutless poltroons.
How much more humiliation will they be able to stand before they finally decide to start acting like representatives they were elected to be?
I think it was on Rush’s or Glenn’s show that pointed out the same concern and I believe it was agreed that sometime the country can’t wait for someones “turn” to come along like has always been the case......you gotta play the game for awhile. I would have NO hesitation to vote for Palin, Bachmann or WEST next election. Our country is in deep doo-doo and we can’t afford to play politics if a newbie is be the answer.
Uh, uh.......some are hopeless and need to be replaced and the sooner the better! The whole Republican establishment needs a political enema...and the sooner the better. :)
A true American hero. He’d get my vote.
“Where there is no vision, the people perish.” The Republican establishment has no vision.
Wouldn’t it be a hoot, if all of this talk of Republican “racism”, the GOP selected Allen West as vice president.
The De-publicans have no vision except to cowtow to the Demons......thank the Good Lord for the Tea Party!...and you are so right about Rep. West being a VP nominee but I’d much rather have him head a ticket with maybe a Bachmann in the veep spot. In a real CONSERVATIVE administration.....Sarah Palin...press secretary (hee-hee) or Homeland Security, Paul Ryan Secretary of the Treasury......John Bolton Secretary of State.....Steve Forbes Federal Reserve Chairman.....help me out here......OH, General Honore of Katrina fame.....Secretary of Defense......LOL. Whaddaya think? :)
It all sounds good to me!
