President Obama failed to release a statement or a proclamation recognizing the national observance of Easter Sunday, Christianity's most sacred holiday.
By comparison, the White House has released statements recognizing the observance of major Muslim holidays and released statements in 2010 on Ramadan, Eid-ul-Fitr, Hajj, and Eid-ul-Adha.
The White House also failed to release a statement marking Good Friday. However, they did release an eight-paragraph statement heralding Earth Day. Likewise, the president's weekend address mentioned neither Good Friday or Easter.
However, the First Family did attend an Easter Sunday worship service at a Baptist church and last week, the president hosted an Easter breakfast for Christian ministers. In that gathering, the president spoke openly about the Christian faith.
When the White House released statements about Muslim holidays, no attempts were made to include Christianity or to mention a spirit of inclusivity. For example, in his 2010 statement on Hajj and Eid-ul-Adha, Obama made no references to Christianity or any other religion.
By contrast, former President Bush traditionally included Scripture passages in his Easter messages and made a point to explain what Easter is about. Like Obama, though, he did not release statements marking Good Friday.

Why would Obama declare a Christian holiday when he’s a Muslim? As the other poster implied: Actions speak louder than words.
God has a sense of humor!
makes me sick....
He’s a muslim. No way he can acknowledge that Jesus died for us and was resurrected on Easter morning. No muslim believes that for a minute. He has no use for Christians. Enough said.
The President went to a Baptist church, where the minister trashed talk radio.
“By contrast, former President Bush traditionally included Scripture passages in his Easter messages and made a point to explain what Easter is about.”
But Dubya also started the practice of recognizing Muslim holidays while he was President. And promoted the phrase “religion of peace”.
I think the Obama’s went to the baptist church (was it on Easter Sunday or last week?) because his new chief of staff told him it was politically wise to do so. He was applauded when he entered the Church so it fed his ego enough to deal with not being in his 20 year loved radical, Rev. Wright Church
where, I understand, the "pastor" took off on a racist rant. It fits that a muslim, anti-American, illegal alien would find a local "church" where "whites" are held in contempt.
were there any white folks there in that service?
Muslims don’t celebrate the awesome resurrection of our beloved Savior, Jesus Christ, as we pray for and await His return. They are waiting for the 12th Imam to emerge from some well!
If they were, they were libtards with horribly guilty consciences for all the suffering that the white race has brought upon such victims of color.
I’m shocked

Obamas Easter Sunday Pastor Rails Against Racist Talk Radio
I wonder why (not).
Sick. But the WH is counting on the basic headline that he went to a baptist church. Obama was applauded upon arrival.
I don’t understand this.
After all, Obama keeps telling us he’s a devout Christian.
For secular progressive lurkers - there is NO WAY Obama is a Christian. He doesn’t act like it, talk like it, walk like it. Mouthing a few words about Jesus to the press once in a blue moon do not count. The only “churches” he’s ever gone to talk about race more than Jesus.
He’s not a Christian, and stop telling us we are too stupid to not realize it.
