I’m not going to close my ears just because braying voices from all sides of the aisle tell me to

Nor should you. The dope on Trump that proves he's no conservative is a matter of public record. You make your own mind up. Just remember that the rest of us are counting on you to do exactly what you just said, keep your ears open and do the right thing in the ballot box. That's all.

Peace,

SR

Very few people are as good unscripted as scripted. Note my tag line. I am an aficionado of Churchill, who went through some struggles of his own with his public speaking. If you follow his life, he was much better scripted than unscripted. Like Palin, he was more of a writer than a speaker, constantly searching for a better way to say what he had already said quite well.

You can hear this in some of Palin’s more awkward moments. She’s struggling to reconstruct a thought she started one way but wants to take a different direction, so she has to bend the sentence a bit to get there. I agree, she should stop doing that. But it’s who she is. And if I had to choose between a constant thinker like Palin and someone slick like Trump, who is glib mainly because he never flies out of his tiny little comfort zone, I’ll take Palin every time.

BTW, most people don’t know this, but Churchill had a Katy-Couric-like moment early in his career too. It was one of his first speeches to Parliament. He had been using extensive paper notes to make his speeches (the then equivalent of a teleprompter), and wanted to try to free himself from those notes. On the occasion in question, he stood up, mumbled a bit, froze, went awkwardly silent, and sat down, not giving the rest of his speech. From that point on he always used notes, a script if you will, but they were more of an outline guide with room for embellishment and improvisation as the occasion required. The rest, as they say, is history.

Very interesting read. Unique in that it does a good job of tying all the loose ends together into a single, well-integrated narrative with high explanatory power. Hmmmm....

The one thing I’m 100% certain to do is to vote for whoever is running against the Marxist/Islamophile currently destroying the country. If there are two running against him, I’ll vote for the one with the guts to ask the questions that need to be asked. No more voting for RINOs - or “conservatives” who don’t have the nerve to say what I (and many of us) believe.

Peace2

. I repeat, he is a conservative.

Repeat it 1,000 times and it still won't betrue. THINK Dede the liberal - and that's just one example. NEWT is a RINO and I don't have to repeat it - he outed himself. He's the one who said 'The Reagan Era is Over'!

Hey Newt - what about the BC issue? Can't hear you!! Are you too busy with your global warming and sofa sitting w/Pelosi?
