I'll have to look it up but I believe this is inaccurate. It balances sooner than this.
Which is actually the problem. Ryan's proposal sounds spectacular because he throws around a lot of big numbers but in reality it takes a long time if left intact to balance the budget. Since it will go into negotians with the Dems it will only get worse from here.
Since Ryan’s proposal is non-binding on future Congresses, it is useless. We don’t want future cuts, we want cuts NOW! Why is it the spending is immediate, but the cuts are always in the future?
He throws around a shorter time frame but he is actually using the same accounting gimmick Obama uses, which is ignoring the interest paid on the Federal debt, to make his numbers.

Sarah may have commented on the "Ryan Plan" eons before your links, with a quip to the effect I really like what Paul Ryan is doing, and this is way before Nov 10' in the darkest hours of reign of error of Obama, if my memory is correct.

EPA, ATF, FDA, HUD, HEW, all gone, instantly disbanded. IRS, PBS, NPR, EFA all unfunded immediately. Just for starters.

You make another point which is true. There is no guarantee that the plan can be carried out from one congress to another. It is just a roadmap to a destination. It will have to be hammered out mile by mile.
This is why we have to work so hard to get Tea Party types, Constitutional Conservatives, in office at all levels of govt.

You are also welcome to prove the graph in post 16 wrong, and prove that the growth figures are true. And the democrats want a government shutdown to use against the republicans, they think it is their path to return to control of congress. Now grandstand all you wish, it does not change the facts.
