Sarkozy's ...'poisonous' debate on rising Muslim population in France savaged by religious leaders
Daily Mail ^ | March 30, 2011 | Peter Allen

France was today attacked by religious leaders for organising a ‘poisonous’ national debate about the growing number of Muslims living in the country. They accused President Nicolas Sarkozy of trying to attract racist voters by holding the all-party political discussion next Tuesday. It will see people complaining about numerous aspects of Islamic life, from its links with terrorist groups to the wearing of burkas. But French Catholics, Protestants, Orthodox Christians, Jews, and Buddhists today joined Muslim leaders in published a joint statement saying the debate would cause ‘confusion in the troubled period we are going through.

The national debate about Islam and secularism will take place a week before France’s burka ban officially comes into force.

Peacefully, of course.

I hope Sarkosy asked them to first explain what the muslim race looks like.

“essentially a nation of cowards” words of Eric Holder about nearly everyone’s desire to avoid the topics of racial and religoous differences. The truth is, few on any side of the issue want an honest discussion. Most everyone, including Holder, wants to pretend they are having an honest discussion when what they really want is to advance their personal agenda.

When the Muslims are capable, they will kill every Christian and Jew.

Our children and grandchildren will one day ask why we didn't deal with Islam when we still could.

Time is short.

That is profound. There is so much at stake, and by not openly and honestly discussing islam, we have already reached the stage where it is dangerous to point out that "islam" is not a "religion" at all; it is a political system. And this definition comes from natives of Arab nations who have escaped the clutches of islam.

The Francais religious leaders are upset because Sarkozy is getting in the way of their surrendering. Vive la France!

I don’t agree. There are LOTS of us on the right that would JUST LOVE to have an HONEST talk about race, religion, immigration, and other issues. We simply get called Racists or Nazis every time we try.

I consider myself on the right (pro-constitution, pro-life, small government). But I disagree. Name 1 top tier conservative talkshow host who is honest on the issues? The closest I can think of is Medved. Due to working, I don’t hear Rush often enough to know when his tongue is in his cheek. I do hear Hannity and Levin a lot. Levin is more honest and factual than Hannity. But both avoid the truth a lot. And Hannity lies a lot.

Now consider why they have big audiences if they are not honest? Simple, their audiences can’t handle the truth.

I was responding to this: “The truth is, few on any side of the issue WANT an honest discussion.”

I wasn’t claiming that any of the ones you named engage in honest discussion...they’ve got businesses to run and they will be on their BUTTS if they were open about what they believe (at least Rush would be, for sure). My point is that many conservatives would JUST LOVE to talk about, how do you say, the more sensitive areas of Islam (i.e., enslavement, enslavement of women, female genital mutilation, support of terrorism, engagement in terrorism, etc.)...but they have sponsors and sponsors can (and are) EASILY intimidated.

Just look at Glen Beck...he has millions that listen to him, and he’s stuck pushing “work at home” and Goldline...no first-rate advertisers will get near him...they consider him radioactive. And do you remember when Rush was advertising Florida Orange Juice. Sales went through the roof...but they still ‘HAD’ to fire him.

Let’s talk honestly about the racism on the right.

As a consultant in many large IT shops I see conservative co-workers and bosses who look at a Black or Hispanic and immediately assume that person is an Al Sharpton or some comedy show dufus. They don’t allow the possibility that the person is a Herman Cain or Clarence Thomas ... or just an ordinary guy like anyone else.

I go to political dinners where people gradually find seats around tables. A conservative Black, clearly a Marine and whom I know to be an Alan Keyes type, asks a white conservative at a table if the chair next to him is taken. The seated conservative tilts the chair forward to lean against the table indicating the chair is taken. As the Black walks towards another table, the white conservative says “I’ll be damned if I’m going to sit next to one of them.”

At a think tank fundraiser dinner, a high profile conservative Black in the think tank is presumed by some big money conservative donors to be part of the waitstaff.

I could give numerous examples. Many conservatives don’t want to face this honestly. Of course, this is not limited to conservatives. Institutionalized racism is on the left where the elite assume that Blacks and Hispanics are too stupid to survive in a competitive society without help from the elite (using conservative taxes of course).

“co-workers and bosses who look at a Black or Hispanic and immediately assume that person is an Al Sharpton or some comedy show dufus. “

This part is easy...as a White, I ALWAYS assume that a black or Hispanic got to where they are by QUOTAS, not by merit. Don’t blame me...blame the DEMOCRATS for causing that. I will NEVER let a black doctor touch me, with the only exceptions being the ones that are world renown...of which we have a few here in Houston. The rest, I’m sorry to say, I must assume got there based on ‘diversity’ requirements...even though I realize that’s probably not the case, I just have NO WAY to be sure.

As to having a black sit next to me...I won’t speak for that, other to say that I’ve now had the race card pulled twice on me at work - in both cases they got close enough to me to have me trust them, made fun of their own kind, and then had me written up when I got comfortable enough to joke around with them in the same way. So, I can NEVER trust a minority the way I can trust one of my own type - I ALWAYS have to watch what I say. You can blame me, call me a racist, or whatever, but those are MY experiences and I ONLY respond to them.

It's all a con by these leftists and Sarkozy. Sarkozy lied his way into office, pretending to care about Islamiciziation. At the same time he was pushing the melding of Europe and the Arab world under the guise of the Union for the Mediterranean. The sheeple of France, led by there traitor-media were ignorant of Sarkozy's treason against France.
Sarkozy has changed nothing since then. He still promotes Eurabia 2.0. So he says a few controversial things about making Muslims integrate (as if integration will help), even as he helps Islamicize France.

The entire Frnech left wants to destroy France. Trust no one of the right unwilling to call De Gualle, father of Eurabia, a traitor. This means that one must never trust any member of the UMP or RFR like Sarkozy. They are liars, thieves and traitors.

It is illogical and sinful to assume that anyone is unqualified (or qualified). Everyone should be approached the same way ... with skepticism ... until more is known about them.

I’ve worked beside many whites who were unqualified. I’ve especially worked beside people who were hired and promoted based on their “good looks”. They got through college on their looks and charm. But they know zero about business and zero about technology.

Of course, the biggest discrimination is not against Blacks or Hispanics... it is against the UGLY. More than anyone else the ugly have to prove themselves and find an edge somehow.

I appreciate that you would put your kid under the knife of someone who may have gotten there because of skin color, since those doctors do need some patients or they’ll start forcing their way into my world.

But I only have a few kids, and I will always defer to people who I know got to where they are based on NOTHING but qualifications.

OK, let’s talk about Muslims and Islam.

There are xBillion of them in the world. Most of the ones in North Africa put identity and loyalty to their TRIBE over their religion.

Half of those in Turkey, Romania, Bosnia, etc are secular. They are “Muslims” in the same sense that an aetheist Jew is a “Jew”.

There are large numbers of Muslims INSIDE Israel that we never hear anything about because the are peaceful and don’t do suicide bombings that get headlines. Most Palestinian Muslims on the old Arafat side are quite secular, more interested in money and bribes than the Koran.

Like people everywhere, most Muslims everywhere are sheeple. They go through the routine of their daily life committed to family and close friends. They give lip service to religion. They go through the motions.

But there are the fanatics. Some fanatics are non-violent. Some fanatics (the leaders) encourage others to do suicide bombings. But you don’t see those leaders following their own advice. And some fanatics are extremely violent.

Now, just for argument’s sake, let’s say that 3% of the XBillion Muslims are fanatics and 1% of XBillion are violent. 1% of XBILLION is still a big number.

Let’s break it down locally. Let’s say there are 200 Muslim students in my local University (ISU). Now I can vouch for the ones I know but I only know a few. Suppose just 1% or 2 out of 200 are violent fanatics and another 4 are fanatics egging on the 2 violent fanatics.

What do we do with that information? How do we find and remove the fanatics without stereotyping all 200 as fanatics, which they aren’t. Actions that turn the non-fanatics into agry fanatics is not the answer. Of course, such actions won’t turn all 200 into fanatics. But stupid actions on our part could double the number of fanatics from 6 to 12 with 4 now being violent rather than 2.

I don’t have the answer. But this type of discussion is part of an honest discussion of Muslims. The fact is that most of them are not fanatics. Most of them want to make money and have a family. That is all.

“But this type of discussion is part of an honest discussion of Muslims. The fact is that most of them are not fanatics. “

Agree. 99% of Muslims have nothing to do with terrorism. But 99% of terrorists (well, maybe 90 or 95%) are adherents to Islam.

So, LET THE TALKING BEGIN.

So how do we find the fanatics?
What do we do once we find them?

Maj Hassan at Ft Hood. Clearly we should have seen the warning signs. Clearly part of honesty is to drop political correctness, which at heart is just a form of dishonesty. Political correctness allowed the Ft Hood massacre.

But do all fanatics leave the obvious signs of a Maj Hassan?

I don’t have the answers. I have never known a Muslim fanatic.

(I have known a lot of violent political fanatics including some officially labeled terrorists. I was a farily good friend of Puerto Rican “terrorist” Oscar Lopez. ... Off the Muslim topic, I find it interesting that I’ve met many Hispanic terrorists. Yet none were Mexican even though I’ve known many thousands of Mexican heritage, more than all other Hispanics combined. ... I’m not counting as terrorists street gangbangers on testosterone nor drug dealers.)
