I just translated what little information can be seen on this first metal plate. Here is the translation, as best I could make out.

Beware the Kenyan, for he shall _____ ______ and then cause many to suffer _____ _____ at the hand of Gog and Magog.

The books were found in a Jordanian cave 5 years ago in a location where Christian refugees were known to have fled in 70AD. Initial metallurgical tests indicate that some of the books could date from the first century AD.

The pages are about the size of a credit card and contain images, symbols and words which appear to refer to the Messiah and, possibly even, to the Crucifixion and Resurrection.

Many of the books are sealed. Says Dr. Margaret Barker, former president of the Society for Old Testament Study, “The Book of Revelation tells of a sealed book that was opened only by the Messiah.”

Just a little too much hype and jumping to unsupported conclusions at this point to be taken seriously. How many well made fakes have appeared in the last 20 years? Most of them.

If it comes from the days of early Christianity, hopefully it will disprove the nonsense some people believe in Orthodox Christianity was invented by Constantine and that “true Christianity” was the Gnostic kind out of the Devince code. That Jesus being only a prophet. There are relatively few people that truly believe in Gnostic Christianity, but part of their belief is that Jesus=God was created in the early 4th century and maybe some will see Jesus for who He really is

...they could prove as pivotal as the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls in 1947.

When did the Dead Sea Scrolls become pivotal? They caused a lot more excitement when they were found than they did when they were decades later translated.

Fascinating stuff! Thanks for the post. I hope someone eventually decides to crack open the sealed ones and read what is written.

I am also of the belief that the following reference from John has some truth to it.

John 21:25
And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.

"Adding to the intrigue, many of the books are sealed, prompting academics to speculate they are actually the lost collection of codices mentioned in the Bible’s Book Of Revelation.

Well, that certainly got my attention.

Philip Davies, emeritus professor of biblical studies at Sheffield University, said there was powerful evidence that the books have a Christian origin in plates cast into a picture map of the holy city of Jerusalem.

‘As soon as I saw that, I was dumbstruck,’ he said. ‘That struck me as so obviously a Christian image. There is a cross in the foreground, and behind it is what has to be the tomb [of Jesus], a small building with an opening, and behind that the walls of the city.

‘There are walls depicted on other pages of these books too and they almost certainly refer to Jerusalem. It is a Christian crucifixion taking place outside the city walls.’
