All of the things you list are true. But here in Joisey we need a fiscal guy in charge. He is that guy & I hope he stays for that reason only. If he does not succeed fiscally there wil be no one left here.
However I would not want him as president.
Xanadu was put into place before Christie. I don’t know if he would have gone along if it had come up on his watch.
We’re so screwed...
So, can you explain to me how you can trust the words of a politician that theyre pro-life when their conversion suspiciously coincides with their decision to run for office, and yet they still support pro-baby-killing left-wing politicians like Mike Castle?
Sure doesnt seem to me like his convictions mean much to him.
Christie is a RINO, stands against the 2nd Amednment, and has a Muslim problem.
So, uh, I guess your answer to my question would be “zero”?
I’ll wait and see what he says in the campaign regarding federal gun control laws, but why does he have a Muslim problem?
When Bush 41 was POTUS the Dem field looked so weak the media called them the 7 Dwarves. We ended up with 8 years of Bill Clinton. Reports now are nothing but filler made up by people trying to justify their paychecks until something interesting starts to happen.
First, he won't be in the campaign. He's already said he isn't running.
His Muslim problem is that he is pro-Ground-Zero-Mosque.
He has supported gun bans. I want no part of any Presidential candidate who has. We need MORE freedom, closer to what the Founders intended, not less freedom.
He’s a Governor of a very LIBERAL state, his stance may be purely reflective of his State.
No way to tell what his true opinions are until he decides to run for national office.
Seriously... before this country implodes, we need someone to rein in spending and the creeping socialism.
The supreme court is where the gun rights battle will remain for the moment.
I urge you to read up on Christie before getting too excited. He’s no reformer. A moderate at best. He may be conservative for NJ but he’s not the guy for 2012.
No. It doesn't work that way. When he became governor, he swore an oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. He either is or is not an oathbreaker. Since he cannot support the 2nd Amendment by his views, he is an oathbreaker. That means he is not fit for further office.
It's about time we got rid of this "well, he's from a liberal state, he has to pander" meme. Governors should keep their oath of office, or stay the hell out of the presidential primaries.
Why should I answer your silly questions when you won’t answer my serious ones?

GREAT post.
There is a property rights issue with the ground zero mosque. Does he think it actually want it to be built or does he oppose intervention based on property rights? Big difference.
“We don’t need 2008 RINOs”
I like Christie, and he’s good for NJ, but not for the nation. He’s pro-amnesty, pro-cap & trade, pro-gun control, etc, kind of like some of those 2008 RINOs you mention.
Let me ask you again:

Then vote for Obama and sit it out so we can have another 4 years of someone who hates his country and is hell bent on destroying it. Chances are, it will come down to the lesser of two evils. You can choose to A. vote for Obama, B. vote for the republican that is nominated, which will not be the perfect candidate, or C. sit it out or vote a 3rd party, giving Obama 1/2 a vote.
IMO, the #1 priority is to get Obama out and get someone in there that likes his country. I’d even vote for McCain again if he were nominated as at least he fits that basic qualification.
Sorry, in my world being "pro-evil" is not acceptable. Not for you, not for political expediency, and certainly not for any politician.
But, I should advise that if you're going to support evil don't whine when the country has gone to hell.
