You dont need a flight attendant to press charges. It is a federal crime to interfere with the operations of a flight crew, regardless of how this stewardess felt. Federal marshals should have hauled her off as soon as she left the plane. The flight attendant just doesn't grasp the seriousness of this crime. It's critical, for the very survival of our culture and our nation that we prosecute food throwers to the full extent of the law.

Even the Dalai Lamma will eat meat when it is served.

When someone introduces themselves as a vegitarian to me, I respond by letting them know that they have found a cure for that.

So, I tell them I’m a pro jock, and who do you think they give me? The Dalai Lama, himself. Twelfth son of the Lama. The flowing robes, the grace, bald... striking. So, I’m on the first tee with him. I give him the driver. He hauls off and whacks one — big hitter, the Lama — long, into a ten-thousand foot crevice, right at the base of this glacier. And do you know what the Lama says? Gunga galunga...gunga — gunga galunga. So we finish the eighteenth and he’s gonna stiff me. And I say, “Hey, Lama, hey, how about a little something, you know, for the effort, you know.” And he says, “Oh, uh, there won’t be any money, but when you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consiousness.” So I got that goin’ for me, which is nice.

"Vegetarians, and their Hezbollah-like splinter faction, the vegans, are a persistent irritant to any chef worth a damn. To me, life without veal stock, pork fat, sausage, organ meat, demi-glace, or even stinky cheese is a life not worth living. Vegetarians are the enemy of everything good and decent in the human spirit, and an affront to all I stand for, the pure enjoyment of food. The body, these waterheads imagine, is a temple that should not be polluted by animal protein. It's healthier, they insist, though every vegetarian waiter I've worked with is brought down by any rumor of a cold. Oh, I'll accommodate them, I'll rummage around for something to feed them, for a 'vegetarian plate', if called on to do so. Fourteen dollars for a few slices of grilled eggplant and zucchini suits my food cost fine." Anthony Bourdain

Pure enjoyment of veal is what is 'good and decent in the human spirit'? What a repulsive, hedonistic definition of 'good'.

Yes, the vegetarian in this case was the tragic victim of bad manners, being a short sighted twit, and the victim of self induced idiocy.

It’s a danger to passengers, crew and people on the ground to allow the assault of flight crew members to go unpunished.
To: caldera599
As a vegetarian people like this embarrass me. All they do is perpetuate the stereotypes about vegetarians. If she didn’t get want she wanted all she had to do was politely tell the flight attendant. This kind of violent behavior is unacceptable, and this person should not be allowed to fly again!
