Pure lies by the PDS media. She wasn’t scheduled so the leak likely came from the WH.

Author felt compelled to use the term “abort” and “Bethlehem” in the same sentence due to his sick wish that Jesus had never been born.
unbiased write would have used:
Palin cancels Bethlehem visit
or
Palin suddenly cancels Bethlehem visit
To: BelleAl
sounds like they went up to the checkpoint, got a nice view, then turned around. they went to a monastery that has a good view of bethlehem and surrounding areas. no big deal.
if she had a sense of humor she’d say she was disappointed that she didn’t get to see where Obama was born.

I wonder why she killed her plans to visit Bethlehem. Perhaps there was a threat?

sounds like they went up to the checkpoint, got a nice view, then turned around. Yeah I understand that people come from around the world just to visit the scenic security checkpoints.

Absolutely! The article from the Jerusalem Post about the Temple Mount visit says:
Why are you apologizing all the time? Palin asked her guides.
Palin expressed regret that she would not be able to visit Nazareth or Bethlehem during her brief stay in Israel, but promised that she would soon come back for longer.
To: tsowellfan
Perhaps there was a threat? More likely her staff screwed up.

Just trying to smear her to look incompetent. I don't think that Palin is the incompetent one in this picture, but whoever she has making these kind of arrangements needs to be replaced with someone who knows what they are doing.

Why use the word 'abort'? I sense an ulterior motive.
And yes, snide is right.

I love her and she’s my candidate, but she’s got to deepen and upgrade the contribution of the team around her. She did great with the Q&A in India, but she should have had a professional work on her speech.

You are very new here so you might not have been following the history of her trip. That is exactly why she went. If you really want to know, there are ways to follow the future president here on FR.
There is really no need to embarrass yourself by posting blindly from an ignorant position. Hope that helps.

Thousands of Americans visit the Holy Land each year, not for presidential bids, but for the joy of walking the ground that Jesus walked. Is there any possibility that Palin wanted to do the same?

Sarah Palin aborts visit to Bethlehem Poor choice of words for someone as pro-life as Palin is.
But certainly a deliberate one.

The headline for this story tells us volumes about the thing that the left fears most from Sarah Palin.
They are furious to the point of incoherent rage over the thought of Sarah giving birth to a Down’s syndrome child rather than have an abortion. Trig’s birth confronts their lies about what abortion really is.
If this was anyone else, the headline would have used the word “cancel.” IMHO

From the Jerusalem Post article posted yesterday — 3/20/11 on Drudge.
It’s still there.
“Palin expressed regret that she would not be able to visit Nazareth or Bethlehem during her brief stay in Israel, but promised that she would soon come back for longer.’
Bethlehem was never on the agenda. I call bunk.
